Nothing wrong with tribute.
If there's an understanding.

I would agree with this. I also think there is seldom an understanding. If such understandings happened more often than not we wouldn't see these thread.

From what I've been told, there are fewer female s-types than male D-types on average.

I suspect this is true if we're talking BDSM labels.

I suspect it is a matter of perspective if we're talking real life. Most of humanity looks like an "s-type" to me and I'd peg bell curve skewed somewhat towards submissive in females.

Is that a real thing, or just a scam?

I don't think so....for years I've offered myself out for cash.

okay if you don't mind me asking, what makes your time anymore precious than mine? perhaps the subs should start asking for tribute.

AaNiMaLl -> RE: Tributes? (9/21/2013 8:29:42 PM)

This is probably going to become a bloated thread about a rubbish topic. However, the extent to which a relationship is based on money is set against the extent to which it is based on love. To me that is sad. For someone to try and find some sort of connection through money. And for someone to ask for it. ...My sister is a prostitute but at least there, the boundaries are clear. And I think that where ever money is given, it should be clear that you are paying for a prostitute who is selling a piece of emotion or whatever, which should always be free. ...I spend a lot of time in Russia and see money exploitation a fair bit. I really hate when people use money for their own ends. Money should not be used this way. Not when it can be spent on much more useful things. ...No matter what, people who live like this will not find happiness. The 'doms' and buyers have sold their souls too cheaply in my opinion.

TNDommeK -> RE: Tributes? (9/22/2013 3:29:39 AM)

Polaranda, there are subs who ask for tribute.

AaNiMaLl, you are only speaking of one example. And while it might only be your opinion of what you shared, there are other ways in which fin Domme or pros are given tribute and in some of those cases, your opinion would be wrong.

Whenever you open and email on this site, you'll see the following lines at the top of the page:

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON!
Read about Common Scams and Online Safety Information

There's a reason for that.

You'll note that among the responses above, the one who most vociferously defends "tribute" is the one whose profile is all about how you'll start paying her before you have any other contact with her. If, in fact, she is actually even a "she". She claims to be another of the 3,783,169 twenty-six year old "findommes" who infest this site. It's just as likely that "she's" as old, as fat and as male as I am.

I have no problem with professional domination or for ETHICAL financial domination. I personally know several professional dominants whom I count among my friends and whose ethical standards are above reproach.
