1) Exclusive guest list
2) Keep it secret lest parents find out and you get busted.
3) IF YOU BREAK INTO SOMEONE'S HOUSE TO THROW THE PARTY, DONT TWEET ABOUT IT.
4) Smart move is not to break into someone's house to begin with.

Recently there has been a rash of criminals who have used facebook and twitter to brag about crimes, even including pics.

Who says social media isnt helpful?

The amazing thing is that the guy has posted online about the kids, and their parents have told him he's mean. They evidently have no clue that, because the kids are minors, their parents are legally responsible for the damages they've caused. Plus, that B&E and wanton destruction just isn't cool.

Apparently, some of the teen's parents are threatening to sue him for outing their precious little snowflakes. Gotta love the line "How are they going to intimidate me? I faced down Lawrence Taylor..."

Makes me sad that only one set of parents have come forward to help fix things.

My kid would be there every evening and weekend until the place was entirely fixed, not to mention writing letters of apology and getting a job to contribute to the expenses. After that was done, I guess I'd have to be the horribly embarrassing parent who didn't let them go to anyone's home/party until I'd spoken in person to the adult who would be present and supervising. And I'd be picking them up in person to make sure they met their new 8pm curfew. Prove to me that you're so ridiculously irresponsible and I'll treat you that way.... Not sure how I would be able to fix the stupid though.

My first thought to your post was that your sig line is truthful. Seriously, it's the responsible way to act in this situation though. People suing the the break-in victim? Unbelievable! How embarrassing! I hope the judge gives THEM a huge smack-down fine!

If they do sue (and they will, to be sure), let them get the heaviest-hitting attorneys they can. The guy's a former NFL player, those guys have resources too. Let them rack up tons of billable hours only to have the judge hand their asses to them. And let them pay for the legal bills and court costs, too. Seems like more than the kids need some learnin' here...

I hope so too. I mean, sheesh, I went to my share of drunken parties as a teenager, but we sure as hell never broke into anywhere (and I'd like to think we wouldn't be so dumb as to publish the evidence online). Once a friend's dad let us have a party at his house while he was out of town. Not only did we not trash it, one kid even fixed the leaky sink.

I know teenagers do stupid things. But seriously, mom and dad? You're the one ruining your kids lives by creating this artificial bubble in which their actions have no consequences. They're gonna have some much tougher lessons down the line.

And my stance is ironic because I used to indulge in beer-fueled teen parties myself. I can't remember which thread it was in, but I once lucked out on one that got busted by going on a beer run. But nearly all the time, the worst we did was leave beer cans and ashtrays. Nothing like peeing on the rug or kicking holes in the wall.

And especially not filming our idiot selves doing anything. What's wrong with this new crop? Do they not understand that the cops can find these pictures? Do they not know their friends can and will drop dime on them just because they can? These are the ones we're trusting the future with?

The parents are angry and saying he's exposing their kids...however, the kids posted the photos first.

BTW: If I had done that, my parents wouldn't be pissed that someone posted my pictured. They'd be pissed at me. I would have been grounded for life and would have been made to pay for repairs.
