Yep. A great way to get a whole bunch of possible subversives together in one place so that if they're not already on the government radar, they will be.

Good call.

All of those groups, Especially EFF (EPIC has joined too). Have done more for your rights, freedom and liberty in an hour than you will do in a lifetime.

They are in desperate need of immediate financial and physical support. We are not involved in a physical war with our government, not close. Every time you leave your home you are being filmed, recorded, watched, tracked or looked at. It is nothing new.

The government is corrupt, vile, disgusting and does represent an actual threat to citizens. However, they are not involved in a physical war and are not overtly murdering scores of people who oppose them (Egypt, Bahrain or many Regions in Africa) we are not close to that point either.

If you are against such things: government corruption and you want something to be done about it..... If you do things to command change, aside from sitting on your ass. To not believe you are on a list, will be on a list or should be. Is not silly. It is just stupid. ( I am speaking about people in general - no one specific).

I just can not comprehend why someone would want to knock the most relevant and important individuals in the USA, possibly in the world putting on some type of event. More can be accomplished or shared face to face than on Collarme forums, IRC or linkedin....

I find it humorous that people are going to rally to show their distaste with being spied on. A rally is an attempt to get government to look at you. So, an event that you are trying to get government to notice, about stopping the government from looking at you, seems to be ironic. Sorta like wearing one of those silicone bracelets that supports ending the use of silicone bracelets.

I clearly addressed this 2 posts up. If you think this is about spying or privacy..... YOu clearly have a clue. It is about stopping our government from intently and covertly violating the constitution.

If you wish to speak to my other comments that is fine.

You clearly addressed the irony?!? I still don't see it.

And, nowhere did I state that I was against the activity. I just pointed out the irony. I'm not in favor of the US Government's abuse of power. Pointing out the irony of this rally situation isn't supporting the spying done by the Feds.

As I stated..... I addressed the issue of "attendance". There are under 10 posts in this thread. I am confident a cat as smart as you can determine which post I am speaking about.

Until than - thanks for the comments.

I was not disparaging the event. I was not disparaging the intent of the event. I do not support the actions that are being opposed by the event. I find it funny that people are going to gather to get government to look at them to tell them they don't want government to look at them.

Which was what my post was about, DS and what the OP is on about.

It reminds me of a person with a purple mohawk who is covered in tats and has dozens of piercings complaining about being stared at.
