1) Bondage stores get a win just because they are awesome. When I went to DFP with my first slave it was just fantastic. I have never met a proprietor of one of those stores who wasn't a great person.

2) Hardware stores. If you don't get a woody (females excepted) walking through a hardware store you just aren't trying and you have NO imagination.

3) Dollar store. That place is fetish central. Just about everything is a toy and it only costs a dollar!

Maybe this sounds strange, I don't know, but smell affects my shopping enjoyment.
I very much agree with the hardware store. The smell of wood (no pun intended) sends my heart fluttering. I'm not sure why, I've just always loved the smell. For me, it's easier to be creative when I'm comfortable in the environment.

While I can see their usefulness, I dislike dollar stores. I can't stand the smell, a bit like cheap plastic. If I go into one, I'm quick to come out.

Another great place to shop is a craft store. There's all sorts of great little tools.

What? Not the tack shop? [;)]

Don't forget the pet store, either! Lots of pervertibles there, from cages to collars.

Supermarkets have so much fun stuff. And we won't even mention the hours of joy to be had at a SuperWalMart.

Not to mention craft stores. Oh fuck, walk into a JoAnnes Fabrics one day-they have all sorts of fun stuff to penetrate flesh with...

I forgot about craft stores. You can get all sorts of hardware and leatherworking gear there. Winter's coming, perhaps it's time to get another roll of leather lacing and make some things...

Funny story...I had just introduced my partner to spanking and he was really getting into it. One day I went to Lowes for slats for our bed and while there picked up a yard stick for .69. I was so excited when I brought it home thinking about how much fun we could have with it for only .69 because I love being a bargain queen. I showed it to him pleased with myself and he said, "Umm I found the tape measure, we will have to take it back." It sat around for a couple days and then one day I whacked him with it and said, "Delivers quite a sting huh?" Now it is used often, it's always within easy reach and I tease and ask, "Aren't we taking that back to Lowes?" LOL and NOW I am not allowed to touch HIS STICK unless I am putting it back in it's proper place.

And I agree...though I have purchased toys from shops that specialize in those sort of things, I still like ones that are normal every day items. No one gives a thought to a yard stick being out in plain sight but one might wonder if it were a flogger or paddle.

Lowes has these long plastic rods that are used for turning curtains that are simply tremendous.Hard plastic (Sometimes to be found in star shapes=edges!),thin, whippy as all get out, sting like a muther, just joyous things.
And cheap too. But em buy the dozen because they break.

lilcracker -> RE: My favorite three stores: (9/26/2013 4:09:18 PM)

I think he might find that a waste because they break. When we moved into this apartment, I took the paddles off the ceiling fan to clean them and when he put them back on he only put three on it instead of four because he enjoyed the way the paddle felt in his hand and the way I yelp when he whacked me with it.

I don't know what you look like, but still, the thought of evil Kana shopping at Joanne's brings a huge smile to my face!

I was looking to get some studs to put in a leather jacket [:)]

Kana, break their heads.

Last time I was in a craft store I bought some yarn. I made a flogger out of it. I very carefully tied blood knots in every single stand. Blood knots on a flogger made out of chenille.

It looks like snowflakes are falling when you use it.

DesFIP -> RE: My favorite three stores: (9/26/2013 7:49:34 PM)

The Man was heartbroken when the kitchen shop in the mall closed. He's never met a wooden spoon he didn't like. I on the other hand ...

Thrift shops. The clothes are cheap, especially if you hunt for special deals, so one can destroy them later with no guilt. Belts for a dollar, too.
