Irrelevant. In your case, it's the omission of attribution.

The most blatant example of this is to directly copy something word for word. It does not matter if it is only a phrase. If it is not yours, either do not use it or place it in quotes and reference it. There are different methods for doing this. The important thing is that the reader can tell what is yours, and what is someone else's. (bolding added)

In your post you should it was irrelevant, "directly copy something word for word" which someone else showed I did not.

Is that what he wishes to debate? Or that he is a plagiarist? Or that he hasn't been let out yet?

Yes, I did say it's irrelevant. Then I showed why. What is there to debate on that?

saying that I was complaining the thread could be shut down is a lie cause I had stated you were insulting me to get the thread shut down indicates you don't speak English.

Segregation and apartheid are two different things ? Are you serious ?......sadly I know you are.

This was in my post.......You have clearly accused me several times of trying to get threads closed by insulting you.
This was your reply.......I had stated you were insulting me to get the thread shut

Both were done by Christians to save the souls of those they believed needed saving.

The Inquisitions had nothing to do with "saving souls". The sole and exclusive purpose of the Medieval Inquisition was the eradication of heresy. The Spanish Inquisition was established independently, with only the reluctant approval of Sixtus IV, mainly for the purpose of uniting Spain under the Catholic rule of Ferdinand and Isabella.

With that as a hint that you don't know what you're talking about, I'll leave you to redo your homework on the Witch Trials.

K.

HERESY:
a : adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma

b : denial of a revealed truth by a baptized member of the Roman Catholic Church

c : an opinion or doctrine contrary to church dogma

The Inquisition was created through papal bull, Ad Abolendam, issued at the end of the 12th century by Pope Lucius III. However in Spain little attention was paid to heresy by the Catholic ruling class. Jews and Muslims were considered inferior to Catholics and were subject to discriminatory legislation. The Inquisition was originally intended in large part to ensure the orthodoxy of those who converted from Judaism and Islam. This regulation of the faith of the newly converted was intensified after the royal decrees issued in 1492 and 1501 ordering Jews and Muslims to convert or leave. Nevertheless, in some parts of Spain towards the end of the 14th century, there was a wave of violent anti-Judaism, encouraged by the preaching of Ferrand Martinez, Archdeacon of Ecija. The pogroms of June 1391 were especially bloody: in Seville, hundreds of Jews were killed, and the synagogue was completely destroyed. The number of people killed was also high in other cities, such as Córdoba, Valencia and Barcelona. A consequences of these programs was the mass conversion of Jews. Forced baptism was contrary to the law of the Catholic Church, and theoretically anybody who had been forcibly baptized could legally return to Judaism; this however was very narrowly interpreted. Legal definitions of the time theoretically acknowledged that a forced baptism was not a valid sacrament, but confined this to cases where it was literally administered by physical force: a person who had consented to baptism under threat of death or serious injury was still regarded as a voluntary convert, and accordingly forbidden to revert to Judaism.

A can't wait to read what you have to say about Witch Trials, you would make a great writer of fairy tales.
And I am sure you have read "Der Hexenhammer".

If you want to discuss the inquisition start a thread

Here we know there is a big difference between our misconduct and that of the South Africans.
I understand that Europeans may not see the difference.
I also understand that some (not you or anyone else in particular) may not want to see the difference.

I grant you that one. lol.
And you may well be right.

But from a general PoV, it just seems to be the same thing no matter who thought of it, who enforced it, or for whatever reasoning they had for it.

It pretty much boils down to the same thing: mistreatment of one race (black) in severe preference of another (white).

South Africa was several times worse
Discrimination vs persecution.
If you wish to discuss the difference or similarity start a thread.

You should be referencing a post with the word speak in it.
If you want to prove they are the same start a thread on it.

''Hmmmm.....that makes sense too like the criminal is going to comply with the law keeping his gun locked up even though it's unlawful to have it in the first place.''

Yes that's precisely why the streets of Britain are a bloodbath with criminals mowing down innocent people on a whim. Which in turn is why our murder rate is so much higher than in America.... Except that simply isn't the case. It's much harder to get access to a firearm in Britain which in turn makes it much harder for a criminal to possess one. Not impossible but I'm yet to see a system which can offer such blanket security.

Ok, I get it, by bloodbaths and innocents getting mowed down you're referring to the US. How clever but never the less it's highly exaggerated. If you haven't read the entire thread then post #133, paragraph 2 might lend some perspective. There is on occasion, an innocent that will catch a stray bullet but most of that blood bath stuff are drug gangs in bad neighborhoods killing each other over turf. Without them the murder rates would be so much lower. Don't believe every sensational news story you see or read.

If you're happy with your security blanket, severe restrictions on firearms, video cameras on every street corner and all the rest of it, I'm tickled plum to death.

It is quite a valuable freedom, you know, that you can walk around without fear of anyone trying to shoot you. Having the ability to defend yourself (with your own gun) isn't a patch on not even needing to defend yourself.

Most of us go through an entire lifetime without the need of a firearm for self defense. In most places no one is walking around in fear.

I have needed mine three times and I am not afraid when I go out.
No more than having been in three or four car accidents (not all when I was driving) and I am not afraid to drive.
