Whatever I seem to do it won't let me change my profile pictures. Whichever 'new' picture I upload - when I click on my profile ..the old ones are showing. I've logged in and out, and tried numerous ways of sorting this but still end up with the same result.

Does anyone have any ideas?

See on the left here it's showing the picture I uploaded but when you click on my profile ..it shows the picture I wanted to replace ...WTF?

You have to make it the first picture. It has to take the place of the one in that slot.

it can take a while for your new pic to show up on your profile. Mine have taken several hours sometimes, for whatever reason.

Be patient and it will come
