I am a female sub and I live in Galveston, TX. I was just wondering what's your take on this site. Were you successful in meeting people? Do you know anybody who was? Do you have any suggestions to find a suitable partner? I tried munches etc. with the local community but I am socially awkward when it comes to large gatherings of people. I am tired of being alone and even though I have dated a lot, finding a Dom is hard through regular dating. The subject of D/s is hard to discuss when a man asks me out.

Hi there, pretty girl! I hate to say this, but you're already doing the right things. I was about to suggest you meet some people in the local community to attend munches with you, and pulled up your Fet profile when I checked into the munch. Your pics show you goofing off with other women and showing riggers' work. So you DO know locals. Just keep it up, meeting people at munches and at play parties. Also, a little advice - the second paragraph of your CM profile apologizes for your tattoo and your weight. Just say "I am losing weight and wouldn't mind having a partner working out with me. I also have a tattoo - if you're nice to me, you may see it some day." In this day and age, I'd be shocked to see anyone who would consider a tattoo a dealbreaker. Benvenuti collarme. I totally agree with Dark Steven. Meeting people online widens your pool but you also have less insight into who they are. But it's not a bad second option. I know one couple that met online and is still happy after 14 year and that's my husband and I and then I now another couple that met on collarme and they are very happy. So it does happen. But keep a good head on your shoulders, especially online but in rl, too. Look at the person's friends and family. What do they say about him or her. The hardest thing is to be patient. I KNOW.

Hello from a fellow Texanna. Though I am not looking right now, I consider Austin my stomping grounds. Its just getting the timing right for the munches for me... I am also a BBW with a tat and most guys want me to keep my weight (it runs in the family) but I am working on it to get back down to a decent size.[:D]

I do date, and I am the founder and leader of Galveston Kinksters. At last count we have 225 members. We do have munches, and I do go to those. We have also had a get together and planning more. I have been part of the community for a while and I have made lots of great friends, but I did not meet anybody I am interested in. I have grown tired of driving to Houston to just go to munches. I am not into public displays or into casual sex, so even if I go to a party, I just socialize. I am not really good at taking the initiative, either. I have a hard time approaching men.
