lol at this stage i wish i had never posted - it was meant to be a general comment starting point about the nature of submissive females in ireland. It is hard for a lot of irish women to find their sub side - apart from the sin side etc which does exist - the other aspect is that as ireland has liberalised many subs find it hard to admit their sub side in the prevailing political climate which demands strong equal women - many i think would find that hard to reconcile with being a sub. Before I am flamed please let me state that i know being a sub in play has nothing to do with strength or lack of strength of character, ability etc etc. In fact being a sub requires far greater strength of character than being a dom (in most cases that I have encountered) as most supposed doms I have met or talked to seem to be very creepy inadequate little men.

Anyhow thanks for the comments - as i said they are welcome - even the ones that I don't agree with or understand or find plain stupid.

I think many female subs here in the US struggle with this too. They can thank The Feminist movement for that.

Oh Sir.....I so agree....the Women's Movement hurt women more than it ever helped us here IMHO. Women today no longer have the luxury of being able to choose to stay home and take care of their man, their home or their kids as today it seems so necessary for a woman to also be out in the workplace competing. I know that I for one am constantly chastised by the so called "Woman of Today" for being who I am....and who I truly believe that women were meant to be. Women have become so caught up in power and career that many of them have lost touch with their sexuality and femine qualities. It is a struggle to have to balance both a career and a homelife....and do well at both. I have many vanilla friends who are career women and think that they are some kind of princess who deserve to be wined and dined every night....they talk about their husbands with no respect, nor do they give them any. Then they wonder why it's "not working". Well I could give them a clue but what do I know?....in their minds i am "poor erin", the June Cleaver of today. It is difficult to do, to pull it off in both worlds....but if I can do it so can they. It does require extra effort but the payoff in the end far exceeds the labor if you ask me.
Peace and light,
erin

I think the Feminist movement has just raised the bar for dominant men. I am not less of a submissive because I'm a Feminist. I have a Master I adore, and look up to, and who is superior to me in every respect. I submit to him, not to the rest of the world, and do not want the rest of the world to try to dominate me simply because I'm a woman. Being a "strong equal woman" in the world is not only better for me, but, as he says, makes my submission sweeter to him.

Tell that to the leaders of "NOW" and see how much support you get.

i can agree with this statement in that i suppose that 'many' may.

i, for one, do not. i embrace my pleasure in submitting as strongly as i am greatful for the Feminist movement (Although, i'll not claim to agree with ALL that it represents.). i quite happy submit to INSIDEYOURMIND completely, with no reservations. Anyone else would say i am as stubborn as they come, strong minded in regard to my beliefs, persistant in most matters, not one to tolerate unjustifiable actions, and far from docile in regard to anything i do not agree with.

In a perfect world they'd all be assigned to serve very strict and sadistic Dommes/Doms who would spank, flog and whip & cane them repeatedly and serverely as they count each blow outloud offering their gratitude and begging for an opportunity to repent. [8D] ... umm ... IMHO, of course. [8D]

Oops, forgot to mention: i am irish. Not that it should matter much. *shrugs*
