You are going to see the biggest knee jerk repudiation of democrats our democracy has ever seen in the upcoming election.

Oh here we go....AGAIN....the scary "just you wait till next election" quip.....Oh we`re shaking in our boots...,...

Do you ( and the hairy tick) recall saying that girb before getting your ass`s kicked in the last two elections.....?

Prolly not....[:D]

We`ll remind you of this in '14' when we take the house back.[:D]

Much as I defected from the democratic party I can't hardly see the Republicans winning with an unchanged platform and I see no evidence of moderate republicans getting any grip on the reins.

I guess you can assume that from what I said, "the government" is the enemy. My style of posting here is ranty than anything else.

I do not think that is really what I said. I forget to be honest. Though I do not feel that way relevant to this. I am fairly confident I described this as a power struggle. Any dom not involved in some type of power struggle with their sub or teenager with their parent. It can lead to violence, friction or enemies. But that was not my point. Just this is about power.... At present the government is desiring to do things beyond accountability, above the law and without public insight. They are desiring to do them with public funds, secret interpretations, judges, courts and rulings.

The point is the public perception this is about "privacy" is simply stupid. You can "game theory" it Player one Vs Player 2.

If it's a power struggle, and if the government is "Player One," then who is "Player Two"?

What do you mean? You are not allowed to ask that. It should be too obvious. You understand Game Theory, correct? I am disheartened you, of all people here need clarification.

There can only be two players. If there are more than 2 individuals the players are regarded as "teams".

Try this, Z:

(start from the top, I guess?)

The one who seeks power and those they desire to take it from. It has been a struggle since well before the Church Committee

One party (player) will win - the other will lose.

I was trying to put it into some real world context as to how and where the theory is being applied. Is the NSA actually a real "player" in the game, or is it just a gamepiece, as a pawn is used in chess? In my earlier post (which you declared to be "irrelevant"), I was trying to give some background as to how this particular "game" got started and why the NSA was created in the first place. I couldn't see how it was "irrelevant," since every game must have a beginning, shouldn't it?

So, the question remains: How can an organization set up and approved by Americans (and presumably on America's side) suddenly become America's "enemy" in the span of a few short decades?

The point I'm getting at here is that "we" are our own worst enemy. The only "game" we're playing right now is solitaire. There is no opponent. There is no enemy, other than our own beliefs and sacred cows.
