Hi there,
I'm well versed in kink even though I've never submitted to anyone before, but, I'm ready, finally, after all these years.
I'm nothing special to look at, but my mind, and ideas, and solid foundation on reality are my greatest assets.
Just a bit about me (although that was what the profile is for - but - now I feel you know enough without looking at the profile - to advise).

Let me know, if you can what you think of my profile (yes, I know DS will look - he's truly a good person, and a few others such as TN and others who truly care).

Mainly, I believe I wrote a truthful and reasonably accurate profile (don't want to let out all the warts though) but mainly I'm confounded by what profile picture to use. Personally, I'm not ugly but not in the greatest shape, and, well, "I" think my cock is huge but I already know that highlighting *that* is idiocy.

But, really, body wise, that's all I have. I envy, in a way, these women who show off their talents to the best light. They're so darn ARTISTIC! It's amazing. But I don't want to be the guy posing in front of the red car, or the airplane, or even the long submarine (heh heh ... jk).

Assuming my body is nothing to write home about, and assuming I can't show my face (I can't believe anyone can - but -that is just how I was brought up I guess, Catholic Church and all that) - what would you advise I use for a profile shot?

My assets?
- great hands (does anyone care?)
- Good looking legs and feet (ugh, who really cares though)
- Strong shoulders and arms (but a good sized paunch ruins the shots I've tried)
- Great mind (ummm... how do I show that with a picture ... I guess it's not so great after all!)

There was a guy that showed a foto of him pointing at his dog as if he were scolding it. It was charming. Every time I saw it, I smiled. There was a podiatrist whose foot was prominent in the shot. Clever visual pins get me. I always think that Athena has got "her eye on you" when I see her... Lady Hibiscus has a hibiscus as her foto. I had a sunflower for a long time. Maybe you want to use a "planet"?

Well, I'm an engineer scientist historian biologist so, maybe I can conjure up an image similar to what the dog-scolded or footed-podiatrist profiles did.

I like the idea of a clever visual pin, but for me, that would be something having to do with me, as substance. For example, a loyal dog trying desperately to please his demanding mistress and then, when pleased, to be told to "go home"). Ummm... I don't have a dog ... so ... maybe I can scare up a neighbor's dog to pose with me. Heh heh... not likely. But maybe I can scare up a picture on the net, although I abhor fake profile pictures.

With respect to the visual pinning, I do like the big rooster guy but I'd want the pic to be a visual pin of ME (not a visual pin of a pun, per se).
I keep thinking "loyal pet" "obedient pet" "knows his place", etc, but I'm thinking how I can show that, with a pic, that's of ME (not some gay model) without looking like an old chubby guy looking foolish in a collarme profile (heh heh I guess public humiliation isn't my schtick after all!)

Taking the visual pin to the level of a loyal pet, do any of these stolen-off-the-web photos strike you as particularly evocative of a pet who only wishes to please?

This one isn't me, but I could take MY eyes and superimpose it on a particular style of loyal pet?

My 2 cents worth: Rather than mince words, I'll come right out and say I detest the 1st & 3rd pics, but the 2nd one looks promising. Good idea for you to look around some more, no superimposing of human faces on dog bodies (lame, lame, lame). You don't need a female in the pic. Go with a cute & cuddly puppy, which could be your favorite breed or simply evokes adorableness. (Love puppies, but love kitties more.)

I didn't have time to review your profile other than to note your use of "weak-willed" is a turn off. Submissive does not mean being weak-willed. Although you consider yourself average, you don't need to put that under a microscope. Average conveys the meaning of mediocre. Dominants don't want mediocre subs. I, for one, want excellence of mind, spirit & character. Take out the reference to your cock. TMI.

Thank you for the feedback. The second one does begin to evoke a visual pin, which would fit the viewer, of me listening to a command and being trained. Without words, it shows obedience and willingness to learn even simple commands.

Actually, I'm far from mediocre, so, I err in my description. My problem was, and is, that, while I am probably one of the more intelligent subs out there, I certainly don't look like Adonis. Most female profiles, from which I get my inspiration, seem to have an artistic view of themselves, that's impressive. Most men, don't, IMHO. That dime a dozen thing isn't true. If anything, socially competent submissive men outnumber socially competent dominant women, when it comes to looking for relationships. The thing is, a lot of women don't look online. Far more men make profiles here, though a lot of them are interested in using women for interactive porn, rather than looking for relationships.

Now that's interesting.

I certainly can say that most (but not all) the half dozen collar me emails I have gotten in the past two days is from reasonably literate women (although two of the six merely said to switch over to Skype/Yahoo which I didn't do so that discourse hasn't proceeded yet).

I would think the female of the species as competent as the male, and perhaps even more so, than the male, in social networking.

Hmmmmm... I do have a strong, large hand, and with even-width well formed fingers, o, maybe I'll see if I can conjure up an evocative visual pin for the team.

As it is, I worked on the suggested photo, and, for now, it's my profile picture, although I don't really want a picture of not-me being the profile picture - it's what I have, for now (I'll try to improve it shortly).

If nothing else I had a good time reading this thread and looking at your profile. You worry about your looks but your height/weight ratio sees very good to me so I don't quite understand what you are worried about. (Yeah, I know, you're a guy. You are not worried.) In the scene where I live there are a lot of big people and even though there are many who judge there are also many who couldn't care less because it's not about your look but your personality. And just in case, I perceive you as submissive by what you post but also a bit arrogant (which is your right). But it's charming. Which makes me smile. It makes you interesting and that's way more important than beauty of face or body. Good luck finding what you're looking for!
