Do these ever actually occur? Interested in hearing if anyone has been to one. Did you buy? If so were you pleased with the quality of the slave?

I believe they have regular auctions on Gor. The quality of the slaves is really the responsibility of the buyer. Caveat emptor and all that

But seriously, the only 'real' slave auctions I've known were charity auctions where a dominant bought a submissive to use for a specific period of time, to do tasks and 'stuff' defined by the submissive's limits. All good fun, and great for local charities.

Anything other kind of slave auction...I'd call the authorities.

Yes, they really occur. These are usually theme party events that can be done in the community. They aren't "you bid on one, you keep them" type of things.

The last one that I did was over two years ago and that was in Bakersfield. IIRC, I ran the proposed event here on the boards. I'm trying to find a keyword that will help find the old thread.

It's so hard to reply to this without garnering a gold letter. Okay, here's all I think I can say without a scolding. Yes, it happens. Google "human trafficking" and you should get a good idea of where and when it happens. In my past experience, at the club and bars I worked in, we'd get the same request at least once a month. Usually it was someone we pegged as an undercover trolling for a 'sexy' bust, but there were others who were dead serious about it. Without writing a novella, it makes the Scene look bad, because of the connotations it implies.

It's a bitchin' fantasy, but that's all it can ever be. Never backpedal, especially here, and not on a subject like this. Done right, and with the right bunch of people, they can be a helluva lot of fun and can provide a genuine boon to someone in need. One charity auction I worked at paid for some kid's kidney transplant in one night.

What I believe you were originally asking for isn't fun and provides nothing except to the perpetrators. Not slamming you, but when someone asks this, it tends to get conflated with the goings-on of the rest of the Scene. Stick around for a bit, and after the inevitable tongue-lashings, there'll be posters who will direct you to venues that may satisfy your desire for this kind of scene. I have to admit, it's one of my favorite fantasies too. But you gotta know where the lines are drawn on something like this, especially now that everything online is subject to official scrutiny at some level.

On the plus side, this also has the potential to become an epic thread, if just for the title alone.

Years ago there was a club in NJ that had a fun play auction that someone "volunteered" me for. It was totally awesome and a lot of fun.

It is when you get to make a professional dominatrix (which is the term we used then) wash your bike in full regalia. It was the most expensive detail job I ever paid for, but so, so worth it. She was a good sport about it, and did a pretty good job on it as well.

I think I need to clarify too...the auctions I was forbade sex as part of the 'purchase'. The buyer could do some play with the sub, or get them to act as a maid or as furniture...but there was no sex or masturbation. One sub was covered pretty much head to foot in clothes pegs, including his man-bits, but that was as sexual as it got.

We ran a slave auction at kink fest and another two at club Hades. All money went to charity.

When you buy a slave in a fun auction like this, you get a list prior to purchase of what the slave will and will not do, how long the slave will spend with you (always within the club hours at the club) and the slave has a right to object to the auctioneer if she/he is troubled by who is bidding for her/him.

What you never did at the auctions I was involved in was... take the slave home with you..... book to see the slave on a different night......have sex as part of the paid agreement......use real money during the auction (you made a written promise).

Actually.. The best bargains are to be found at garage sales.... That's where I got my last one.... But I hear dumpster diving can net some real prizes from time to time. Though I never engage in it.

Slaves are unquestionably bought and sold, but for someone to be enough of a slave to someone for this to be a workable thing, their Master has to be a damned fine Master, and be able to tell that other Masters are damned fine Masters, and those are the only people who would will be present at such an event. It's certainly not any of us! :D
