Hi all. Just trying to figure out who this site works.
I'm just trying to meet local women to me in the Surrey/London area. Yet it doesn't seem to be that simple. Is there a certain place to ask or search?? So confused :(
And help would be great thanks.

First, hello and welcome. On the left-hand side on the CM window is a selection button that says newest local users. Also, in the preferences window, you can place your location and other criteria in it to narrow your search. Others will be along, most likely from your area who'll give you some more insight. Best of luck in your search.

Edited to add: I did a cursory search and came up with 25 women's profiles in the London area alone. Play around with the search features on your profile a little bit and you should find more.

I would suggest heading over to fetlife, setting up an account and searching for your particular area. I know that there are more than a few local events in and around London and Surrey, so you could get out and meet people.

To be honest, online is not the quickest and easiest way to find what you're looking for. Those of us who were actually successful in finding someone online will tell you that mostly you meet a lot of totally unsuitable people and wait a long time before you meet the right one(s). In my case, it was 4 years on collarme before I met Master, and I'd been searching on another site for a few years before that.

Get out and about, get your name and your face known and hopefully you'll find what you need.

The search features are a bit clunky outside of the US, since the proximity searches are based on zip codes (last I checked). There are tricks to narrow down in your profile where you are located (like manually typing a city in). You can also type certain keywords into your search parameters, like city/county names. Try a couple of different words in various searches, as not everyone will use the same name. Toronto, Scarborough, GTA, east york, etc. are all different names for the same (or adjacent) areas of Toronto, and all within 50 km of my home.

Admittedly, I haven't done any profile searching for a while, since I wasn't looking. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm misremembering something.

I also second fetlife if you're interested in getting involved in your local community. It's much easier to filter information to show just what's local, but it's not a dating site and searching for profiles is less geared towards those ends.

Good luck. Play around with your settings and the search features. Enjoy yourself and have fun.
