This one`s funny.... You`d think there would be someone at fux with smarts enough to smell a ridiculous story or do some research before saying the President was personally "funding the opening of a Muslim museum" while shutting down the veterans memorial......I mean they are a frik`n network. The story was a satire, aimed at loons on the right who would believe such a thing or make up such an over the top thing,like beck does. But holy moly, the dupes at fux news took the bait and ran it as a real news story.....[member name redacted by moderator] Bless their pointed little heads. Their viewers either don't read or don't believe the corrections on other media: they're in their comfort zone, they're happy, they'll believe it because they want to. So they'll go on watching the ads, so the sponsors will be happy, so the money will keep rolling in. Your mistake is to evaluate it as news. It's entertainment.

The original "news" story was an Onion like news satire piece. mocking the over the top attacks on the President by making similarly ridiculous charges. But the rightists missed that and reported it as real news, which is fuck`n funny because they were the ones being skewered in the satire.They couldn`t help themselves mostly because they`re so hunger to see him fail or do harm to him. The Muslim museum memes were hitting my face book page from my con friends and I took great delight pointing that they had been fooled by themselves.

I agree... I am not so sure this wasn't reported this way on purpose. Fox in my opinion uses the tactic of outlandish false reporting with a retraction later knowing the story will take on a life of its own. If another news organization criticises their reporting they claim they are being unfairly attacked by the liberal media. Butch

It wasnt "news" per se, it was fox n friends* totally different* (according to the defenders) The fact that they tossed it out there as a "oh by the way "fluff piece, starts the rumour mill and they think its gospel. How many times have they done it, they will continue to do it, and people will buy into it, cos their audience is as thick as two short planks

But aren't they somehow magically getting close to 30% of news watchers. I guess that may their nadir as it was about 30% of repubs in N.O. who blame Obama for the FEMA fiasco over Katrina.
