I admit it, I was a n00b around here and I probably sent messages to more than 10 people in the same day. I wasn't being duplicative (hey I made up a word!), I did actually try to say something relevant each time. Anyway, all that is behind me now as I have found someone who is amazing who I am hooked on and I just want to be able to message her. Can my ban please be lifted? I'll play nice. It's so frustrating that she is now so near yet so far.

The spam filter is shrouded in mystery. Nobody knows how many reported messages trigger it, or how long the ban lasts. That said, it WILL be lifted sometime.

Tried opening a ticket with mods but no answer yet. Seems to be a lot of people reading this post. Could somebody do a stranger a real solid and please tell the user [mod edit to remove username] to check the updates to my profile. Trying to get back into contact with her. Thanks in advance!

Some of these guys don't know when to leave women alone and for all you know, this guy was harassing this chick and it's exactly why the spam filter nailed him. I understand the skepticism. Just to clear this up, I just made a rookie mistake, we have taken things off to regular email and everything is fine :-) Steve, once again thanks.

To clarify: Our spam filter is a fully automated system which has no external controls accessible to our support staff. We cannot reset it or turn it off on your account or anyone else's account.

This usually happens automatically when your account has been flagged by users for various reasons, or someone using your computer or IP has committed a Terms of Service violation, and/or too many emails to unique users have been sent out within a specified period of time.

Accounts on which the filter has activated will return to normal functioning after a pre-determined period of time has elapsed.

To prevent the filter from activating on your account in the future we would encourage you to write a unique message to each person you choose to contact on the website, and protect your account from unauthorized use.

If you just copied and pasted it into a list of your search parameters I myself have done that and not always hammered on Chardonnay

There would be a chance 0-3 per 10 mails one of your mails reached someone genuine. So in many ways the spam filter is counter intuitive and you will find yourself blocked for mailing too many spam/not genuine accounts...should you be genuine thyself not that I am going to look and judge.

Now, if there was a way one above me where I could write a mail to only verified users i think this would be a good thing for all genuine....thoughts?
