I've used Shout or some other stain remover, then put in the washer...the key...do NOT put in the dryer.

when it says 'vacuum' you should put a clean stocking over the end of the vacuum nozzle, it's gentler on the fur.

I'm not willing to risk that they could get damaged while in the wash machine. It probably would be fine, but there's a chance it won't and they mean far to much to us to risk that.

I have used cornstarch and a soft toothbrush to clean a favorite stuffed animal...just a little cornstarch and be gentle. Vacuum before and after too but gently also.

now is that just for surface dirty, like dust and cobwebs? that's mostly what's wrong with a lot of our toys, but some of our toys that are slept with and played with every day, they stink and they are exposed to body oils a lot.

Cornstarch absorbs body oils...leave it on for a bit..I really can't say exactly how long.....not more than 5-10 minutes probably.
