And this constitutes the impending collapse of the Evil Empire? You might keep in mind that decent America has no real choice: if the Tea Party has its way, this country will be wrecked. This shutdown certainly is creating some odd ideological bedfellows. We've got Republicans trying to pay bureaucrats for not coming in to work, and the President outsourcing government benefits to private charities.
