ORIGINAL: LokisBrat It is the Master's responsibility to nurture, care, and mold their partner to reach their full potential as well as teach their Sub/Slave discipline, focus, and self awareness. It's my position that the s-type in question should already have these things - at least in basic - before embarking on relationships. It's an adult thing. It's not Sir's responsibility to do any of these things. Those that he does, he does because it fulfills him to do so. *Not* because it's his responsibility to do so - any more than it's our mutual responsibility to nurture one another as people in a loving relationship. I will agree with this statement to a point, however when entering into a Master/Sub relationship, The master does take on the responsibility to do these task's as well as the sub taking on the responsibility in exercising these task's. So I agree that it is a mutual responsibility, however the teaching techniques, follow through, and discipline for these actions is the Master's responsibility. There is an obvious "payoff" as with anything that motivates human beings or we would not accept the "responsibility to carry them out. LOKI.
