Kirasen -> Every had a freak out? (10/17/2013 2:18:39 AM)

My heart is pounding, my body is shaking, i feel hot... I said something I shouldnt have said. And I didnt know it was bad until someone pointed it out. I said something about someone that I love, that he forgave me for but Im still freaking out from guilt.

Anyone know this feeling? What should I do to regain control of my body? I cannot forgive myself for what I have done. I'm sorry, I know this is selfish to ask, so ignore this if you wish.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you are talking about, but from what I could understand you said something you shouldn't have? We have all done that. Sometimes mouth engages before brain. It happens. It seems like the person you wronged has forgiven you. It really is up to you now to forgive yourself. I don't know what to say to help you do that. Sorry.

Ailey

I agree. Let the making of it be a way to obviate your transgression. And in the end...cake!

Hi-
yup, I have had a freak out over something dumb that I have said or done.

I am a generally thoughtful person, but we all have moments in which we behave in less than stellar ways.

So, figure out what you need to do to make it right, follow through and then let it go.
If he has forgiven you then don't usurp his authority by continually picking off the scab.

Do you think you're having an anxiety attack? Want tips for that? I'll start with long, deep breaths, using your belly rather than your chest.

Breathe into a paper bag. You need to balance your oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.

You're only 21, babe, and I think you're overreacting. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when you're a young person. Believe me, there'll be plenty more, so you can't let yourself get stuck with a panic attack every time you unintentionally make a mistake.

You say you've been forgiven, but you're overcome with guilt. You have to learn how to forgive yourself, as Ailey advised. Do you know how to prevent this from happening again? Was it a thoughtless, indiscreet remark? Do you feel as if your Master will hold it against you or that you've breached a newly-forming trust? According to your profile, you're still looking to become a bondage slave as of 2 weeks ago, so I take it you haven't been with this Master for very long. If this is troubling you, then ask him what you can do to make things right between you. If he has elected not to punish you, then it isn't your place to insist upon it.

Best wishes.

Calm down with your breathing, clear your mind...indulge in some chocolate. There is nothing to get into a panic attack for.

I gave this advice to somebody else who is totally 'nilla, but it's still appropriate. Apologize profusely, but - this is the important part - make sure you don't say something like that again.

littlewonder -> RE: Every had a freak out? (10/17/2013 9:34:24 PM)

Tell yourself "fuck it. I'm 21 and way too young to be worried about such things." Shrug it off and forget it. And then remind yourself not to be a drama llama.

Forgive yourself even though you say you cant. Cut yourself some slack. Everyone says and does stupid shit regularly, so did you.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing but notice the self hatred that can lurk there. Wrap your arms around yourself inside yourself and outside.

How is it selfish to ask for help when ou are freaking out? It is not. If you had a friend who was experiencing what you have been going thorugh would you tell her she was selfish if she reached out for help? I doubt it.

Dont beat yourself up, that is also something that requires forgiveness.

When I get all nutso like this, I let myself have my feelings and try not to add self hate to the mix. I look for the love, where is the love in the situation, it needs to be there. Go for a walk, it does miracles to balance right/left brain stuff so you can get a perspective and calm down, gain some understandings.

Give yourself a break, it is a skill that will save your life. Learn to stay on your own side, another rewarding skill. Doesnt mean you wont learn from mistakes, you will simply save time from going the 'punishment, unworthy' route. Take a bath with Epsom salts, stay in over 20 minutes, it will help take those toxins out of your body from your adrenal glands hitting the roof and flooding your precious body with toxicity.

Go hide in your bed.

It will be okay. Breathe.

If anxiety attacks are a problem for you, try doing brief bursts of vigorous exercise, at times when you're calm and happy. Listening to music you like can help enhance the effect, and a few minutes a few times a day is enough for this purpose. Just enough to get your heart rate and breath rate up. It helps train your brain to interpret a fast pulse and quick breathing as something benign, so when it does happen due to anxiety, it's less likely to trigger a full-blown panic attack.

Kirasen -> RE: Every had a freak out? (10/18/2013 10:25:01 PM)

Sorry for my freak out, I don't really know why I freaked out so badly. It was just probably mostly from lack of sleep and powerful diet pills.

littlewonder -> RE: Every had a freak out? (10/19/2013 12:02:56 PM)

stop taking the diet pills. That's just not good for you. And yes, they WILL cause panic attacks or what feels like one because they make your heart race. Stop taking them.
