ORIGINAL: MasterCaneman For an absolute neophyte I'd (grudgingly) recommend a set of those dorky 'love bondage' restraints every toy site has. They're cheap, appear comfortable, and are 'escapable', if that's a word. You can use a pair of regulation cuffs as a 'prop' somewhere in view for a first time, to give 'em a taste of what's to come (maybe). If you're cheap (like me) ACE bandages are a nice option-wide, elastic, and if applied properly give a good balance between comfort and restriction. My past experience tells me rope tends to freak newbies unless it's that silky crap they sell for curtains and decorations. Scarves and bandannas are okay, but I've had issues with knots getting too tight under stress to be untied. Wide, snug, and soft are the goal here. Newbee or not so much, include the blunt end medical scissors to quickly free your hostage if she panics, or something. It is a mark of someone who knows what they are doing. I am amazed to have seen public players who are thought to be well experienced show up with pointed scissors expecting to cut their thrashing submissive out without stabbing them accidently.
