KratosK -> "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 11:23:19 AM)

I don't like reading the political bullshit on here. I don't like all of the dumb comments, and I certainly don't want to waste my time trying to set them straight. I come on CM for D/s, not politics, but website advertises posts in here and I click.

The politics section shouldn't be listed in the box.

Yeah, we so don't give a fuck. Thanks.

SlipSlidingAway -> RE: "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 11:28:56 AM)

Why? If other people enjoy discussing it, why shouldn't they have that option? You have the choice not to "click", that is your prerogative. If there is a subject you are not interested in just don't read it.

What other people come to this site for, or talk about here, is really not for anyone else to dictate.

If it's that bothersome to you? And you can't find the willpower not to "click"? Either, find someplace better suited to your needs. Or create a website of your own that does not offer that option. Really no reason to complain otherwise, it's a free site, and obviously is meeting the needs of the people who do desire to discuss things you don't.

Good for you.
The door's over there.

Stupid people shouldn't be allowed on the internet. I don't like reading all their dumb shit.

Get lost! [:D]

There is a difference between being able to discuss politics, and having the nonsense advertised on the front of the site. Others don't want to see the crap either.

Are you also annoyed that billboards sometimes advertise products you don't wish to buy?

It's bizarre to me that you feel inconvenienced by the site because you can't resist clicking on links. You must be a spammer's dream.

angelikaJ -> RE: "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 1:07:51 PM)

It is 100% your choice to click or not.

If you don't like it then perhaps you need to seriously tame your inner masochist.

AdorkableAiley -> RE: "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 1:15:58 PM)

Really?

I just don't get it. Why do people have to find something to be annoyed at? There are so many other worthy causes to be fighting for and worrying about and the fact that you see subjects not of interest to you should not be one of them. Just ignore it, you'll be much happier in the long run.

Yeah. I don't think we should have any other topics other than BDSM/D/s related topics. After all, all of us are one-dimensional and spend every waking moment semi-clad in leather and the submissives/slaves even sleep in a kneeling position.

I wish all the recipe bullshit and the word and letter games (you know, where people have fun) was on another server.

How dare these people waste my valuable time with what interests them. You all should realize that my interests and wants and needs are all that matters.[/snark]

I think some people don't realize that well-rounded individuals have interests in many things; not just a narrow, single-minded obsession which eats up all their free time.

You do understand that it's your prerogative to be on this site or not. You can simply not come to this site if there is something you don't like about it. If you choose to come to this site, you are subject to whatever graces the site at that moment.

I for one wish they didn't have the ads, but they're not in the business of pleasing me.

Do you generally have the opinion that things should revolve around your likes and dislikes? So, for instance, do you tell CBS what you'd prefer they show at 7 pm on Sundays? Or how about products, do you inform General Mills that they should have more marshmallows in Lucky Charms? Does it inconvenience you that the highways near your home don't have a dedicated lane for your own specific use? How is all that entitlement working for you? I'm genuinely curious.

mnottertail -> RE: "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 1:26:38 PM)

Talk about stupid shit in the rss, what the fuck is a Tunrs? Is that one of you limey blokes words, what can't hisspeekie da englaise?

It's in very poor taste to put people's political opinions on the front of the website. It trolls anyone that reads it. I simply don't want to read your stupid political opinions, but I'm perfectly fine with you sharing them among people that WANT to read them and argue and pretend they're enlightening.

LadyPact -> RE: "As the Collar Tunrs" shouldn't show this section... (10/18/2013 1:27:27 PM)

Dude.......

Are you seriously bitching about the scroll? If you are, I will gladly hand you My self imposed title of being the most kink-centric, BDSM focused, self indulgent twatwaffle around here. (Seriously, go look at My profile. I get away with shit that at least 90% of males don't.)

Now that I've said that, here's what you do........

There are various forums on this site. Divided into sections. Everything from "General BDSM Discussion" down to "Health and Safety" is pretty much kink oriented. Play in your own field. If you don't like the other stuff, don't go there. You don't feel the need to investigate every product that is shown to you on a commercial and you don't go and see every movie that is advertised in trailers. Same kind of thing.

I'm not sure why you picked me out and have addressed me as though I am one of the owners or decision makers of what happens on this site. Rest assured, I haven't decided anything here, although somehow I think that'll escape your notice.

It's your opinion that reading comments on politics is "trolling." Some of the site users obviously enjoy using the political section here, I can't say I've ever really even read anything in there to be honest. However you feel about what is appropriate for this site or not, you don't seem to be important enough that the site owners will rush to do what your preferences are.

If it bothers you to read the comments, we're back to the simple solution of mentioning that you don't have to read them. Do you generally need external protection from everything that bothers you or compels you? If so you must be a shut-in so you can hopefully escape from every single bothersome thing in the world.

How is it anyone else's fault that you can't control your impulses and just have to click on it. Don't click on it and you wont have to read it. I find that I don't even pay attention to the 'as the collar turns' box on the other side, it is really easy to ignore.
