ORIGINAL: littlewonder meh not really. My experience has been that most teenagers are the same....messy, needy, sensitive, full of the entire range of emotions from 0-5 seconds, think they know it all, sarcastic, talk back, angry, like to have fun with their little group of friends. How right you are. . . . My boys have a wide age gap between them, enough to where each one was essentially raised as an only child. They can/could be mouthy little b*gg*rs at times. Luckily (for them) no displays of anger or hostility. Impertinence, yes. They already know it all at the tender age of 15. We get tired of hearing me ask them, "Say thank you--didn't you learn any manners?" or "I'm not having other people think your parents never taught you any manners, young man." Don't forget the last-minute crap they pull needing this school supply for tomorrow or to go such-and-such a place that very evening that can't be missed, heaven forbid. Missdressed, doesn't it feel bizarre when they stand taller than you? If you have a daughter, it must be when they can fit into your clothes. I trust the kitchen didn't look like a tornado hit it afterwards. Or parts of the rest of the house.
