G'day to all

Im a Dom whose ethnicity is Asian

My appearance is that of an Asian guy except my taller than average asian height(exactly 181.4cm)

For those white, hispanic or african american women, do Asians appeal/attract you as your dom/master?

Recently i got a mail from a woman saying 'seems like you r my type, except you are an Asian'

I wonder if this is a general view.

I find Asian men no more or less appealing than white men. But no, it isn't a general view. Everyone has their preferences, you too I imagine.

What might put me off in your case is not your ethnic background, but the fact that you actually live in Korea - meaning long distance relationships, expensive trips to visit you, and all sorts of legal stuff to get visas if we were to ever be together. But were you an Asian dom who was local to me, your ethnicity wouldn't be an issue.

We all have our preferences on what we find attractive (& just a minor rant...it irks the life out of me when people consider it "racist" that you are not attracted to their ethnicity or race. It is not "genderist" for only being hetero or homosexual and someone who prefers blondes is not a "hair colorist") in your case I would call it more of a "geographically undesirable" issue

In my mind that was a highly racist comment. Unfortunately racists exist of every ethnicity.

I also agree with what others have said about your location in Korea. If you're searching in the states, I can see your location being an issue.

I couldn't care less what colour you are, as long as you were intelligent, fun to be with and an all-round decent human being.

Asia is a big place, depends where you're from.

I have a bit of a thing for Chinese guys, but I'm not so much into Indian / Pakistani guys.

As with everything in life, it's personal preference, what works for one person doesn't work for another.

Ethnicity never factored in as a negative when I was considering someone for any sort of relationship and was often a positive. I loved living on an ashram and dating men of all different backgrounds. My workplace is very diverse - at one point I was the only white woman there - and I like this. Unfortunately, many people negatively prejudge those who are different from themselves.

People have preferences, it's inescapable. This woman didn't use much tact in explaining things to you, she could have done that better.

As to your questions, I am white; a possible Dominant for me, if I were looking for one, can be of any race. In fact, I was married to a Korean for 17 years so I can certainly form long lasting relationships with an Asian man. However, I am dead set against long distance relationships. So if this woman rejected you for that, I can't really blame her.

Edited to add: You might find it interesting to know that within my marriage, no one in my family had any problems with my husband being of a different race. His family had, and continues to have, all kinds of problems with the fact that I am white and our children are half white. As I said, everyone is entitled to their preferences, and I respect that they feel the way they do, and I try not to reject them for that.

I'm white and have found myself attracted to men of many races depending on their personality and the chemistry we had together. Just from looks alone, yes I would say I find Asian men attractive. I've never been with a Korean, I did date an Indian man for a while, he was a total romantic sweetheart and still holds a soft spot in my mind even though we were pretty doomed not to last from the start.

I agree with the others though, if you are searching outside of your country for a partner it's going to be a hard find. In general most people are reluctant when it comes to long distance relationships (I could never do one) and it's going to be even more so if you're looking countries away for someone!

If she isn't attracted to Asians, then it isn't bigotry to say so. Any more than if she wasn't attracted to you because you are shorter or taller, thinner or heavier than the body type she likes.

I have very narrow ranges that attract me. A guy two inches above or below isn't someone I'll feel chemistry for. Nor guys with red or blond hair. It's not bigotry, it's what turns me on.

I'm also not bigoted because I don't date sadists. I'm just not attracted to them.

OP, some women will find you attractive and others won't. That's life. But if you're writing women in different countries, you're definitely geographically undesirable for a relationship and most women don't just want a one time playdate with a strange guy.

If a Dom is asian would not be a problem for me. If i was looking and i clicked with an asian Dom i really don't see the problem. When i was looking it was the personillaity that attracted me. My Master happend to be white but he he wa asian it would not put me off cause we clicked on so many levils.

I'm not into Asian or Black or Indian or other ethnicity except white males. It's just who I'm attracted to. It's not racist. I'm just not attracted to different races from my own. I'm not attracted to red-heads either but that doesn't make me bigoted. It just means they don't turn me on.

Some women like Asian men, some don't. There is no general view.

I've never been turned off by someone strictly because of ethnicity. While I tend to be attracted to dark skin, I've found men of varying ethnic backgrounds to be attractive. There's a Japanese man at work who's pretty hot. But he's too young and I'm already in love. [8D]

But really I've gone out with Spanish, Mexican, Black, Egyptian and now with the Mister who is Native American. I guess you could say I'm a global kinda girl.

I've never much cared about ethnicity, but I will say that I find people that hang their entire identity on their ethnicity to be unattractive as a partner.

The person emailing you was ascrewed up loser who didn't understand the meaning of diplomacy. It's fine! I actually think Asian and Hispanic men can be hot. Who cares where you live? If you're too far, then you're too far. End of discussion..sounds like a few people are just being a box of rocks...

I generally don't prefer white men although there are exceptions - usually Europeans or So. Africans. (Something about the way they use words that charms me). I *do* like Asian men. My first love was half Asian / half Latino. Sadly, most Asian men don't even notice me. ah well.
