In these days of most off the rack clothing being made in asian sweat shops, finding a decent fit is near impossible. Even trying to find an actual sized button down shirt is impossible... excuse me but men's shirts are sized by neck size, sleeve length (measured from the center of the back to the wrist with the arm bent at the elbow), and either regular, fitted, or loose. All you can find any more is small through some variation of extra larges. If I put on an XL, the neck and chest fit but the arms barlely cover the elbows. If I gram a 4XL, the sleeves fit but there is enough fabric leftover for Barbie's Circus Tent around the waist. Don't even get me on enough fabric to actually tuck the tail into a pair of jeans. Find a brand that actually follows western patterns and the larger sizes will fit shoulders and not assume anyone that is larger is a five foot sumo wrestler. Cough up the money for dress clothing that is properly sized. I've found the George Forman line does shoulders and sleeves that fit without leaving a circus tent in the midriff. For casual and work shirts, the Firefox line makes safari shirts that will fit the bill for wider shoulders. For sportswear, Underarmor is good but very much overpriced. Tek makes the same stuff at a much more reasonable price. If you prefer cotton to the synthetics that leave the skin slimy after a workout the top of the line Hanes can't be beat. But, dang it, most stores don't carry the top of the line and you have to mail order. And doesn't it suck that the retailers get in three or four of sizes for wider shoulders and larger chests for every hundred of the average sizes? Damn that bell curve.
