My first post here. Please note i tried to find an answer, but there doesn't appear to be a way to search for an exact phrase "Profile Not Found"

So I was msg'd by someone, and I want to view his profile. However when I click to view his profile I get sent to the home page with a msg Profile Not Found.

I have mail control setting to send to bulk anyone without an active profile. His messages come to my inbox. He also gets all of my messages.

I've had this happen with one other person too.

Any idea what is going on here?

FYI... by making this post I was able to use the "view related threads" and found other posts on this topic. I've written support.

The person sending the messages probably hides their profile after doing so. I've had that happen occasionally.

As you've discovered for yourself, you can still send/receive messages with a hidden profile. They're just not going to show up on a search.

The real question is why are you exchanging messages with someone who is keeping their profile hidden? Lots of people do this, so having a hidden profile is not a red flag in itself. Sometimes people go on vacation and forget to uncheck their account setting upon return.

What you need to do is message this person (which you should have done with the other person) to inform/remind him his profile is hidden and could he please unhide it for you. If he isn't willing to do this so you can view his profile, THEN this IS a red flag, and you should drop this person right away.

Another possibility is that his profile violated ToS and the powers that be have blocked his profile.

Yes, and it could be something as simple as the kinds of photos the user uploaded recently pending approval. At any rate, there's no reason for you to hesitate to inquire directly about this. If you're still in contact with that other person, ask him what's going on also. This will be a good way for you to see whether these guys are being straightforward with you or evasive early on.

oh him and I are trying to figure it out. besides, i have hidden profiles sent to my bulk folder and his go straight to my inbox.... weird.

although I do think he added new pics of himself as a five year old.... thinking that don't violate TOS.

he says besides myself one other person can't see his profile, but others can.

Anyway, I put up a support ticket, told him he should too.

Pardon my French, but why the hell would this guy show kiddie pics of himself? On a kink site, no less! There's something fishy-smelling in Denmark. He can't possibly be this stupid to not know he violated ToS.

Honey, I have a bad feeling about this dude. And is he supposed to be a Dom?

What he's telling you about others being able to view his profile and 2 people (including yourself) cannot makes no sense. Did he mean others prior to his ToS violation? He could have had reports filed against him for harassment because at this point you don't really know why his profile isn't viewable, if it's not by personal choice.

P.S. You have your setting for Hidden Profiles to go into your Bulk Mail; he doesn't have his setting to do that. Nothing weird about it.

jeez guys, it's not bad, it's a pic of him at a wedding kissing the flower girl somewhat passionately.... it's stinking cute... lol stop it

he's sent me a cut and paste of his profile via email... nothing wrong there has to be a kink in the site lol Support has contacted me and is looking into it. If it was any of what you suggest I would think they would have figured that out by now.

all is cool.

Ok, well tell him to take that stinking cute pic down as it *does* violate TOS. (he can send it to you in email or put it on his facebook, but not on CM.)

You're welcome. But this still doesn't explain why he felt compelled to display a pic of him 'somewhat passionately' kissing a flower girl. Who does that?

Also, why are you asking about the hidden profiles of others when you have your own profile hidden?

my profile is hidden for personal reasons only related to a very recent change in employment status :(

but thanks for the info on the tos violation
