sheisreeds -> What Should I Bring to the Fight? (10/30/2013 6:28:39 PM)

My partner and I finally have a brawl scheduled at an event where our breed of edge play is expected and accepted. However, I have been out of commission for medical reasons for over a year.

I am in a Switch relationship and we think wrestling is for sissies. Our favorite weapons for fighting other than the basic feet, knees, hands, and teeth >;) are wiffle ball bats. At this point these are not safe for me, those buggers actually can cause quite nasty contusions and between me not having my wolverine healing factor back, and my pelvis still being a mess, it's no good.

In our case we are fine with things breaking, as long as they will not endanger others. We're ok with gouges, bruises, and I've lost count of the number of times I've sprained a finger.

We like strange, bizarre, absurd, things.

It's halloween, it's a damn halloween party, and all I can think about is the one toy I can't bring, wiffle ball bat.

We've used things like those yard decoration pvc candy canes, mops (yes, mops), electrified fly swatters, carbon fiber rods, and other sorts of nonsense.

I'm trying to think of things that pack a lot of sting, without a lot of thud.

Anyone got some festive ideas? Repurposed halloween decorations?

Got a favorite repurposed item?

I'm thinking all those halloween stores will be in clearance mode Saturday morning.

UGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH I hate being rusty.

Car radio antenna. More or less the same thing is sold as a retractable teacher's pointer. Hollow, whippy stainless steel.

plastic curtain rod
venetian blind rod (the thing you rotate to open or close the blinds)

thin electrical cords
not-so-thin electrical cords
computer cables

attach fuzzy pink handcuffs to the end of a leather belt to create something that produces real welts and a "fuck you shades of grey" moment at the same time (disclaimer: I've never tried this, but the idea popped into my head while I was typing this post and I think it's hilarious)

Yeah I've thought of stuff like that, we have a lot of that, but just soooo mundane.

Attaching fuzzy handcuffs to something, hilarious, though then I'd have to buy fuzzy handcuffs :( I think my smith and wesson ones might be a bit much.

Thankfully his costume now involves pipe insulation.

I just need to have enough punch to get to it.

Rubber chickens.

You know you wanna. And those fuckers hurt. Nice and weighty, that rubbery material.
Yeah man.Dueling two handed chicken fighting-what could be better?

(Except maybe midgets...but we only did that the one time in that bar in Texas)

sheisreeds -> RE: What Should I Bring to the Fight? (10/30/2013 6:59:43 PM)

Yeah rubber chickens thought of that, been done too many times before. Mine pick some up anyways though since they'll be on super sale.

Yeah I thought of this during american horror story, its perfect.

and tons of options this time of year, those decorative halloween ones with all the twigs and such should be evil.

littlewonder -> RE: What Should I Bring to the Fight? (10/30/2013 8:40:13 PM)

that's how I came up with broom lol. Watching American Horror Story. [:D]

Bicycle inner tube. Metal plant hangars. Glow sticks on a rope, glow necklaces, etc. Large rubber spiders glued onto the chickens?
Rubber snakes.

Get a pair of Halloween toe socks. They're pretty cheap right after the holiday. Push a couple of thumb tacks through each toe then fill the sock about 1/3 way with dried beans. Tie a knot off in the sock just above the beans. Repeat the process with the other sock then tie the two open ends together for homemade Halloween nunchucks. (Not sure how you feel about blood but it's sort of my thing so usually the first place where my mind goes.)

It's tricky not to hit yourself with them while you're trying to whack the other person.. but, you're a switch so that shouldn't be a problem in any event. [:D]

I don't know how good your local halloween stores are, but bottles and pint glasses made of breakaway sugar glass could be fun. They will look fantastic as you clobber each other over the head. Whether or not it hurts depends on the quality and thickness of the glass and the part you hit them with - the base of a bottle will give you a bit of a thud but hit someone with the side of it and the structure is weaker. You can definitely end up scratched up with this stuff if you use it right (or wrong, depending on your point of view).

foam rubber pumpkins, Halloween lawn signs - I saw some that were wooden plackards, swim noodles in seasonal colours, wreaths - heck, i'd go to Joanns or one of the Halloween stores and see what was on sale - like plastic swords or tridents.....[:D]

I'd bring a feisty sense of humor.

Dreamless -> RE: What Should I Bring to the Fight? (11/2/2013 12:04:06 AM)

Hot damn, I need someone who'll fight me with a candy cane yard prop, that's amazing.

I'm imagining a wiffle ball bat being a bat that's hollow with holes in it, though, because I'm really tired right now. And that would also be hilarious.

Quite frankly, we just hit each other with sticks. I'm not creative. But I think coat racks would be pretty amusing. Or like, limbs from those giant dolls or mannequins. Or like, a hand with leather strings with spiders tied to the strings made into a spider flogger.

I still have a soft spot for hitting people with sticks though. There should be tons of Halloween props that fit that rough description!

Licorice Ropes can make Superman cry and bring the Hulk to his knees. My favorite candy of course.

My favorite candy when I was a kid. Never would have guessed at their other uses [:)]

samdarella -> RE: What Should I Bring to the Fight? (11/2/2013 12:26:57 PM)

I laughed when Master said He was going to get some red licorice and whip me with it. Until He did. Then I was laughing as I was begging Him to stop. Left vicious little welts and bruises. I got very hungry for licorice so I could eat it all quickly.
