Well if we presume those figures are even vaguely correct, an honest observer has to acknowledge that A) people are still in the 'pre-buying' stage where they are checking out the system and its offerings, and B) there were the regrettable technical problems, which must be laid on the contractor, and C) what about all the people signing up through the state authorized systems, hmmm? I know you Rightie foamers are desperate to piss on Obama's leg any way you can, but at least be honest enough to take into account for unforeseen circumstances.

Agreed...

TheHeretic -> RE: More Obamafail (10/31/2013 9:29:56 PM)

In a few years, when it is plainly obvious to anyone that Obamacare was a scam, a deliberate monkey wrench, intended to wreck healthcare in the US, and force in a later single payer system to "fix" it, it's going to be funny as hell to pull up old quotes like the Obamabots are spouting today.

Well, if we presume those figures are even vaguely correct, and they are more than vaguely correct, a vaguely honest observer has to acknowledge that A) Six is a disaster no matter how you spin and B) Six is a disaster no matter how you spin it and C) Six, can you imagine? Six, and only under two hundred at the end of the second day, out of millions who have had their insurance cancelled due to Obamacare. and D) The Right was right because wanting to protect America from this disaster which is hurting so many was definitely a fight worth fighting. The Right are heroes and will get us out of this jam if America will vote GOP in 2014 so we an hem the lying bastard in until he can be voted or impeached out of office. I suppose those six will vote Dem in 2014 for control of the Senate but we will have to work with that.

Ever heard of the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Act of 2007? Usually called 'Mass Health'? Yes, that plan started out much like the Affordable Care Act. It had a pile of clueless conservatives, foaming at the mouth mad that Democrats would get all the credit for HELPING the state out of a real problem. Shortly after Mass Health enrollment began, it experienced a slow registration rate. Like the nation right now, Mass citizens took some time to understand the information as best as they could. They'll look into the information, study the issues and refer to the actual law to help explain those parts they are still not sure about. As time went by, more and more people started to get enrolled. Why? Well, they wanted to do something most conservatives do not understand.....OBEY THE LAW.....

At the moment, those covered by MHCRA of 2007 represent 97% of those living in the state. Everyone has coverage. From the 'bare bones' to the exceptional. It costs the state a mere 1.7% of the annual budget. Hell, we pay more for snow removal! And it has greatly helped the citizens of the state in a numerous amount of ways. The Emergency Rooms are not as crowd, allowing doctors to see those that REALLY need help at that moment. Most can see an actual medical doctor to help with any number of medical problems. An it has lowered costs. I'm sure some conservative will try to challenge me on it. What they will conveniently leave out of there argument is the following: The costs would be much greater right now, WITHOUT Mass Health in place. Again, you do not live in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, so how would you really know?

As time progresses towards the end day for coverage, we'll see more and more people signing up for plans through the exchanges. The issue with the website is merely a bump in the progress. Things do break down, and so the President tapped some of the best folks to get it working again. When the President calls you personally for help....you help. That is *IF* your an American.

Have you sat down an had a serious read of the Affordable Care Act? Don't let the 2409 pages daunt you; its a rather quick read. And you will have health coverage before the due date, or you'll simply pay the fine. Either way, after that moment, you are complying with the laws on the books. You can dislike it all you want, if that is your wish. I could explain the numerous ways it will help the nation; but you do not seem like the kind of individual that can handle a serious discussion. And I base this notion on your post above. That it lacks knowledge, wisdom, and maturity. Three critical concepts that are lacking in today's conservatives and libertarians.

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Lets contemplate the absolute perfection embodied in this statement.

The nonpareil humor, cluenessness, and the dash of naivete. Breathtaking performance art.

Lets start with the breathless line... "It had a pile of clueless conservatives..."

In Massachussetts? Snicker.

When the president calls you to help, you help. Oh. Like all the help you liberals gave GW Bush? Snicker.

Then theres the simple errors: you know like reading the ACA is enough - when most of the regulations are being written outside the law. Regulations by the hms, the cms, the IRS...

Regarding that paragon - Massachuttets;
Highest insurance premiums in the nation.

Costs increasing faster than the states budget by 8%.
Physicians for a National Health Plan, a doctor’s group that supports a fully socialized, single-payer health-care system, warned in a February 2009 report that the new system had failed to reduce medical spending, and has subsequently drawn funding away from crucial health resources such as emergency room care.

Dropped coverage for 30,000 legal aliens....

The Commonwealth has many conservatives within it. Your laughter simply puts on display who is really ignorant here. Yes, Massachusetts, a 'blue state' has conservatives. Much like Texas, a 'red state' has liberals. One could find this information out rather easily. Their numbers are not equal to or greater than their counter parts on the other side of the isle, but they do exist. And as much you 'dumb down' things to that of a football match, I view it more as a circle. This circle in which all persons that are neutral, are still in some part liberal and/or conservative. To be truly neutral of political viewpoint begs the question....do you even have an opinion? Where do the liberals and conservatives exist in this circle? Who says they have to be in any one place in the circle? Being free in that circle would mean being where you would like to be; assuming you remain considerate of others. I do not expect you to understand what I'm explaining here.

There were many individuals that joined the Armed Forces that were liberal in viewpoints. They fought in the wars the same as anyone else. They worked in the Bush Administration, just as there are conservatives in the Obama administration. Again, this is something most people understand without the need to belittle others. Apparently you do not live within the United States of America. Its knowledge that comes literally with the territory.

I never stated you should ONLY read the ACA. But that reading it would help you understand many of the numerous errors you have made in the past. Bad information cost you credibility when you made silly arguments that displayed your lack of knowledge on the subject. And when someone explained the correct information on this and many other subjects, you came back (usually on other threads) with a complete lack of knowledge. Like you had amnesia.

Costs quite a bit to buy a house in this state. And the land the house is on. Buying cars can be expensive. So is buying food. Lobsters right now, are only $3.99/lb, but sadly that's expected to rise in the next few months. Even paying for all the law enforcement for winning the World Series in Red Sox Nation was expensive. So is the insurance premiums for healthcare the highest as you say? The answer might surprise you.

By all means, cite your source(s) here.

I got a chuckle that you inserted that 'socialism' comment in here. Do you NOT know who your debating here, Phydeaux. I'm not some clueless moron that watches just FOX News. I actually went to look up that group, Physicians for a National Health Plan. Anyone can find this organization HERE Anyone that looks will find its the 'about PNHP' section. Within it, it states they are advocating a 'single payer' plan. That is not 'socialized medicine' Phydeaux; that's what CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS were pushing for back ten years BEFORE President Obama came to office. How bad is your knowledge of history? Very bad! In order for healthcare to be 'socialized' as you foolishly think; there would have to be a helluva a lot of legal infrastructure put into place. An that is not likely to happen if ever.

Post a link of the 2009 report by this organization, Phydeaux. Your wrong on just about everything else, its fair to see what this report actually states.

And they were dropped for a reason: The were NOT US Citizens. That's right, in order to qualify for Mass Health itself (that would be state picking up the tab, not an employer or insurance), the person had to be two things: A) A citizen of Massachusetts and B ) A citizen of the USA. Those legal aliens can still obtain healthcare plans as normal, but not through the state directly.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Look at the date of that post. Jan 1, 2010. What was happening in the nation on Jan 1, 2010? Most of us were recovering from a late night of partying (some were STILL partying). What was going on in relationship to the ACA? The 'Daily Caller' is not known for its 'fair journalism' in that it pushes the conservative agenda where ever and when ever it can. Honestly, the state is doing just fine if not better with its healthcare. Yes, I know you do not understand why, but will keep posting absolutely drivel showing us that you can. Your not a Masshole, so what should you care of the state?

And Republicans doing it exceedingly better than Democrats. For that, you would need to know history, which you have shown time and time again you do not understand.

EdBowie -> RE: More Obamafail (11/1/2013 5:50:39 AM)

Yeah... After the 200 million dollar a day junket to France, and the 'Kill Whitey' video, and the Museum of Muslim culture, and the Obama ordered violent beatdown of the WWII vets at their own memorial, and UmbrellaGate, and the Executive order to the IRS to stop all right wing groups from ever getting a non-profit status, and forcing the Republicans to fabricate all those Benghazi emails, and pass all those Communist bills, and the refusal to send troops in to suppor Al Qaeda around the world, and the refusal to open up all our military and intelligence secrets in the name of transparency... Not to mention all the bad stuff he did as President in the 80s and 90s...

And now this, a million non-users a day (which would be called DOS attacks anywhere else) slowing down the Romneycare rollout, it will be a miracle if anybody votes for Obama in the next Presidential election...

I hope the Heretic is right, and that the end result in a single payer system with the elimination of the middlemen health insurance companies.
