Why are profiles kept on the site of people that haven't been here for many years? If a member hasn't been to the site for 1 year, it should be deleted. I've seen some where the person hasn't been on the site for 8 or 10 years or more. It wastes my time to plow through this useless crap.

well, one thing is they can hide their last online date, which means they could be here, but their last online date shows up whenever they hid it, which could be ages thence.

Instead of being lazy and whining about it, the OP could set the search filter to sort by "Last On" to ensure the most recently active members always show up first. It doesn't get easier than a single button click. [8\|]

~FRing it~ Hmm, when I am on the other side looking through profiles...it always goes in descending order from who is on now at the top to the older profiles at the tail end. So what is the big problem, OP? It doesn't get any easier than that. Useless crap would be coming here to whine about a problem that could have easily been handled on your own

Well, to be fair, according to the OP's profile he IS in a great hurry for this slave to appear. Although he's been here for over a year, I'm sure it takes a lot of time when you are in such a hurry to sift through the unused profiles, or think of one of the work arounds given in this thread.

Is there any site out there that has a "time out" clause? What does the site care if a person creates a profile and never comes back? Those numbers boost advertising rates, which I would have to think are more important to the site than the individual preferences of any particular member.

I have a profile here which I know has not been accessed in years. I forgot the PW. The email well, it was shut down. No, it was not Lavabit. :/ I think it should be purged. But who knows one day I might guess the PW. Someone might hack the system and post the PW's. Knowing my luck they would post EVERYONE's pw but mine. Gah
