ORIGINAL: ShamanatDawn So, I am brand new, and still seeking info and such, but I was curious about something. I see trans being a gender option, and I see trans people here and there on this site. My question is; How are trans people generally treated within this community? (being trans myself) I am curious if we are treated JUST as objects, or equally, and respected as such. I have been on many places online, all types of sites, and I tend to find the overwhelming "popular" feeling about trans people is one of revulsion, dismissal, or as a thing, curiosity, or object. 1. This web site really isn't a community. There are some regulars, but you get the full range of people just like any other public web site. 2. Trans-gender people aren't very common; and many people feel uncomfortable in their presence. The acceptance is probably higher in BDSM circles, but, sure, you'll encounter plenty of people who looked down on and feel uncomfortable with trans-gender. 3. Just be yourself. Let the chips fall where they fall. And don't worry about what people think.
