There are so many Dommes on CM that require a payment (paypal) before meeting them. I've never done this because on the top of the page is a WARNING not to give money to anyone for any reason. I was wondering if anyone has given them money before meeting, such as transferring money into their paypal account? If so, did she show up for the meeting?

Let's assume that most fin-dommes will, in fact, show up for a meeting if you pay them. But is that what you're looking for? Were you hoping for a dominant girlfriend for a professional escort?

I wouldn't give money. Rather, I would go to www.fetlife.com and search your city and the closest large cities. You will likely find many events such as munches where you can go meet real people who approach this as a lifestyle rather than a profession.

Go meet some real folks. Be interesting, be courteous, ask questions, make friends. Repeat

While there continues to be a passionate debate over whether Pro Dommes or Fin Dommes are "acceptable", there's no doubt that there are LOTS and LOTS of scammers out there.

I suspect your instincts are right on this one...

However, you need to change your profile. In it you say you are willing to pay weekly. The scammers are just loving that statement and figure you for an easy pay piggy.

I would say, unless they are clear and honest about being a pro and not meeting for personal reasons, to not do this. In a social situation and the two of you wish to include money in your interactions wait until you're face to face. Same for any other gift.

Just as you worry, they may not show... or you two don't like each other face to face... or they're really a male... or they used a fake picture... or all kinds of things people do online to folks.

As a Fin Domme I do require a tribute prior to meeting me. It shows the sub is real. And in case they don't show. However I'm very vocal about being a fin domme and what I expect from a potentially submissive . So if you're dealing with a fin or pro it's pretty normal but if you just meeting for a nice lunch to get to know each other then don't

Then you may wanna not talk with fin dommes, bc nine times out of ten, they won't meet you.

Do you think that warning was put there on a whim?

If I were forced to bet, I'd bet that at least 35% of the profiles for 24 year old "findommes" demanding that submissives "prove they're real" by sending them money before any other contact is made were created and are managed by people who are not much younger, not much thinner and not much less male than I am.

In fact, of all the 3,548,692 "findomme" profiles on CM, the only one that I would bet is an honest presentation of herself is that of The Person Above The Person Above Me.

If you are worried that they may not show up, then use the same tactics that they use...ask them for a tribute to "prove" they are real. After all, what's good for the goose, etc. etc. Right? But you can, in all likelihood, expect to receive no money, which is the exact same amount I would recommend that you send.

Actually, you need to ask yourself if you are looking for a relationship with a findomme, or a prodomme to give you the findomme experience... The latter is running a business, so if you want their professional time, it's normal and reasonable to pay a deposit or booking fee, just like if you want to book an appointment with a wedding photographer or something, right? But if you are looking for a relationship with a findomme, then what you need to do is prove you will turn up to meet them because there is nothing more annoying than going to meet someone who never intended to turn up! And I think if you don't trust them not to just take your money and disappear forever, then she wasn't the right one for you?
