Per my personal experience, age difference depends upon individual circumstances, so much that it did not limit my Domme and myself. Since I roleplayed wearing a mask, my age (60, then) wasn't apparent and, though my Domme was only 19 when I first met her, she was married and an experienced, talented Domme. She no longer Dominates but I've submitted to others, since, and I'll be 70 next May.

Extra points for anybody old enough to know which word of that quote I changed and who originally said it.

We are 11 years difference in age. Age isn't an issue. Intelligence and honesty mean everything to us. We both are more interested in how a person connects with us then what their age is. It's the person. Ever meet a 20 year old who has spent a couple of tours in Afghanistan, and compare them to a 20 year old college sophomore?

I know people have their own preferences, but when if we were to meet someone, we're not asking for ID. They would show if they have the maturity we seek.

I'm not one to say "age is just a number". I'm one to say, "Every age is worth exploring".

My current age difference is 22 years. Our ages don't definite our D/s...what does is the commonality in lifestyle activities and living.

I was wondering if an age difference bothers most people. I am 20 and often people say that I am "too young" for them (varies from people 25-40 etc.). What do you think?

I think you're 20 and often people say you're too young.

i wish people thought i was too young when i was, by 20 i was too old even for grave robbing

i've only ever gotten the 'you are too young' thing online in first messages, usually saying something along the lines of:

"hi, you are too young for me. but i just wanted to say you are really pretty and i think you have an interesting outlook, if you ever want to meet up let me know"

which i always delete because that sort of passive aggression is one of my few pet peeves(i.e. don't try to pick me up in the same line which you use to say you aren't interested) and the other pet peeve(that applies here) is judgment on anyone based only on your own perception.

in short, if you are too young for someone, you are, but that isn't a bad thing. look for someone you like and if you get along its likely that you are at similar stages of maturity.

I work in the sex industry. My youngest client, into sex and submission is 22. (40 years younger than me) He's mature beyond his years. I was a little apprehensive at first but he keeps coming back. With him I don't think about the age diff.
Very much depends on the 2 people involved.
