kingkuang -> Intro From Hell (11/6/2013 8:39:42 PM)

Yes, this is an introduction even though i will be talking about religion and politics, it shapes what I can reveal on here.

We live in a religious fascist state, called Mississippi. Maybe you've heard of it? While we would like to have a poly house hold, the political winds blowing from the north of the state are decidedly against it. Currently the aristocracy in Jackson is battling gay marriage and the subsequent backlash is to lock down "areas of sin", as they put it. The coast has long been more like New Orleans than like Jackson, but the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and the fact that the Federal government gave the relief money to Jackson and not the coastal communities, has allowed north Mississippi "investors" to come down and bully people out of property and close businesses that don't fit their religious views, especially bars and tattoo shops. We have no clear or immediate way of moving away from this corrupt hell, as we are tied to jobs and property that cannot just be abandoned. Our jobs also keep us apart 5 days a week, only getting to see each other on the weekends and holidays. We are a fun loving couple and despise having to deal with the social-status-centric 20-somethings that like to run off and brag to everyone about their escapades, but do like the geeks that know better than to give a shit about status.

Because we are apart so much, we do not get a chance to meet many new people as a couple and this makes it more difficult to find someone for us. We have tried creating 'couples' profiles on sites but since there is a week lag between times we can get on together, those conversations fall apart quickly. So we have given each other permission to play apart as long as safe sex and no drugs (besides alcohol) is used. We have even made a game of it, whichever of us gets a girl first gets a pretty nice prize we have agreed on. I have little hopes of winning this through the use of this site, though, given the state of my profile due to the frustration of dealing with scammers and delinquents on here. I know I could change it, but I would rather leave it like it is as it does reflect my sadistic side even though it is uncouth. On the plus side, any one who is brave enough to attempt to contact me and witty enough to gain my attention may make for a good playmate.

This is now in Off Topic since it's not really an Introduction.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing these problems where you live, but the state of Mississippi did give us John Hurt, Fred McDowell & of course Muddy (Mississippi) Waters, to name but a few, so it can't be all bad [:)].

I hope you enjoy your time here,.

All the best, Gary.

Having read the initial post by the op a couple of times now, I came up with one question.

If Mississippi is so bad, why not move?

It is better to curse the darkness than to light a candle.

I just can't see why your profile isn't working for you. It's so charming.

Not in my world, if it is dark, use a 2 million candle power spotlight to see where you are going. This solution is also effective to ward off the boogyman, since it is well known he is afraid of the light.

Ok, I just bit my lip.
But on the bright side I believe I just averted a gold letter.
Wow, and it was good.....

Op: you are in Mississippi aren't you? Consider barking up another tree.

Even Rosie Palm and her five friends just shake their head saying "WTF?" after reading it.

Bullshit. If it was that bad, you'd figure out a game plan for how to move someplace better. Millions of people do it every year. I have friends who recently moved from Alaska to Texas, including an *extensive* wine collection.

Yes, there were logistics involved and problems to be solved. That's called life.

Sometimes, folks are forced to remain where they are by reasons they may not detail on a MB like this, you know. Sometimes you gotta give people the benefit of the doubt, and accept that it's easier and cheaper to rant and rave about (X) problems they have. How it's going to help them in a unicorn hunt is another story, but there you go.

Are you saying that because I am a cynic and pessimistic (I prefer the term negatively optimistic, anything bad, catastrophic and world threatening is going to happen at some point) that I am mentally unbalanced?

MasterCaneman -> RE: Intro From Hell (11/7/2013 6:37:38 AM)

I don't think she was replying to you, but the the OP.

MAINEiacMISTRESS -> RE: Intro From Hell (11/7/2013 6:38:56 AM)

Property can be sold (or rented out with option to buy), jobs can be relocated or changed. If you aren't taking steps to change what's so HORRIBLE in your life, then you must LOVE it.

It's a fact, some people aren't happy unless they have something to bitch about, and I truly believe some people have an actual fetish for Misery.

Oops, silly Me, I almost forgot, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!
