I've never understood that argument... don't need underwear with tampons.

I don't like underwear with skirts/dresses, so I sometimes don't wear any for weeks with warm weather. With the right fabrics, the breeze is just divine.

Some heavy bleeders can't trust a tampon for more than 10 minutes. I used to be one of them. That said, when not on the rag it's great to go commando. Been doing so since I was old enough to pull off my diapers. My nickname was 'Pantsless'. But I do it for me, not because it meets someone else's 'Story of O' fantasy requirements. And so will all the smart women who avoid the OP like the plague.

Seriously? That sucks ass!!!

And I thought I had it bad, needing to change the largest size every 90 minutes of so at peak flow.

It's the one good thing about my endometriosis, I'm on doctor's advice taking the pill without monthly interruption now, so I can keep my period away for months at a time. Yay!

I was when at an age we can't mention here, incredibly regular. Every 28 days starting at 8:05 AM. After a year or two, that stopped and I never really knew when I was going to start. Right now? An hour from now? In the middle of the night?

I didn't wear tampons thinking I might get my period in the next couple of days.

And actually, I couldn't wear them at all. They gave me horrific cramps.

This thread has me thinking of what is a "real slave" in current society. I came up with two thoughts

A> Someone under a personal service contract that honors the contract whether legally enforceable or not.

B> Some one kept in bondage in what the law enforcement calls "human trafficking".

Anyone else come up with another possible definition.

I satisfy Master's definition of 'slave'.

I certainly don't satisfy yours.

Whether that makes me 'real' or not by your definition is of absolutely zero importance to me.

Sure, I could come up with about 60 billion of them given that you haven't provided any definition simply some examples. What do you mean by "slave"? How'd you get that definition? Is it US-centric or cross cultural? What time periods does it draw from?

I would argue with (A).

For me, the definition is going to involve the concept of "freedom" in some way.

it all depends on what you classify as a real slave....

there are all different kinds of slaves on this site, you just cant bunch them up into one category

i am a slave to my Master WhipHer BUT what works for us might not be what works for others

Choice A would seem to indicate an indentured servant, while B would most closely fit the 'classical' definition of the term.

In current society, I think there's such a thing as absolute slavery & relative slavery. Absolute slavery is self explanatory, however I would define relative slavery as anyone working for an employer & only getting say 70% of a living wage, or less. For 30% of his/her working life they are in fact slaves. I believe this cropped up on a thread a few months ago about the principle of tipping. Slavery is illegal in the civilised world, but is still practiced here & abroad by big business.
