I close my eyes and find myself in your arms
safely curled in the warmth of your chest
I take in your scent, the sweet smell of your flesh
a smile dances across my soft lips
we whisper words to eachother
my fingers tracing hearts on your skin

I close my eyes and listen to the tenderness in your voice
the twinkle in your deep dark eyes
the way your full lips curl into a mischievous smile
I can oh so clearly see each detail of your features
The smoothness of your skin, the sharpness of your nose
I can see the tiny hairs on the back of your neck
the wrinkle on your forehead when confused

I close my eyes and find myself at your feet
looking up to you with so much love and admiration
feeling each beat of my heart
lost in our perfect world, no one can intrude
my eyes soaking up as much of you as possible
wanting to freeze time and spend eternity right here
at your feet. I take it all in.

I open my eyes slowly to realize, i am alone.
a lonely girl with so much love in her heart
dreams of a knight sweeping her off her feet
a girl who believes he is near her
I know him so well, a stranger perhaps, but he will come
rescue me from this world of solitude
bring me to your feet and lead me to an eternity of bliss

I haven't written anything in years! lol...it's such a wonderful relief to put all of ones feelings and emotions into writing, i enjoy it so much. I am glad both of you enjoyed reading it.
