AAkasha -> The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 1:20:44 PM)

And earlier thread where a sub in chastity "asked" for tasks and I told him he had to do acts of charity to earn release gave me an idea. Fairly random, but tossing it out here.

What if we (femdoms) collectively had an online "hive." Subs (err, online wankers, and I mean that playfully and with the utmost affection! Really!) who needed their "fix" could post PROOF of deeds of charity. We'd have some guidelines and samples. There would be some fairly strict ways to guarantee the system could not be gamed. Maybe a "moderator" they could email if they wanted to submit their proof privately if they needed to, but most could do so with a receipt and their screen name hand written, etc, or something of the sort.

Then femdoms could in return "donate" their short online domination or whatever the "fantasy" was - small penis humiliation email? A quick cam session? If the sub did an AMAZING act of charity, maybe a femdom would blow his mind and send something in the mail, who knows. A sub who was generous of heart could have some surprises.

A femdom bored one night could visit the "hive" and see what subs were donating their time, and then pick one, and surprise him. Subs who honestly felt like surrendering their time instead of wanking, would give their time and heart, and know that PROBABLY, a femdom would take notice of them and send them a little fantasy reward.

Feedback, suggestions? If some guidelines could be developed, I'm sure a sub could build a site. Just call it the hive, let subs upload their proof, have some strict rules and suggestions, etc.

Without going into all the particulars and mechanics of how to implement this concept, your idea is a good one, that of making this plethora of "do-me" subs contribute to charitable causes. It would weed out many of the imposters and fakes, we think.
It would also up the reputation for dominant women in general, who are often lumped into the same category as those who practice FemDom as a business undertaking. That's their business, but it attracts would-be scammers of both sexes pretending to be dommes of whatever sexual orientation.
Maybe it could even lead to a "love connection" or two?... [sm=hearts.gif]
We are incurable romantics, my boy and I are.

It's an interesting idea but man, the idea that my volunteer activities might turn into "a way to get laid" is just plain unappealing to me as a volunteer. I might post on such a site IF there was a way to specify the only thing I wanted in return was a like-minded life partner. In other words, it's a perfectly valid (and highly effective) way of attracting women. I might want some advertising value from it but not quid-pro-quo which would cheapen the actual reasons to volunteer.

That brings me to another point. Now that I'm actively involved with volunteer orgs I have a hard time believing that many men who participate in same need or want a bit of random femdom charity. Honestly, my "women stock" which was already pretty high has risen quite noticeably as a result of being a volunteer and I don't even get the full wash of "charity goodness" because I happen to be the president rather than "Just a volunteer". Based upon what I'm seeing in the volunteer/charity I'd guess that other men, just like me, are awash in female opportunities -- some of whom would be female dominant.

Not to mention being possibly fun, therefore an antidote to some of the deadly-heavy-earnestness that goes on in the online BDSM world . . . .

Also, it's a one-stop-shop place to send horny guys. It's a place where findoms (both legit and those who are "just starting up") can, for lack of a better phrase, give out free samples of their "style."

Much like Reddit has become really efficient at allowing people to network/barter services and stuff, there should be a way to do it. I hope people don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good and say "well too many subs will figure out how to game the system and cheat for free jollies."

And, I do hope there would be a way to make all, or at least much of the "Action" look pretty transparent, so voyeurs can observe to see success, get off on it to some degree, and want to participate.

Femdoms can also "favorite" their causes and subs can donate to those causes, etc. If it were transparent and public, this also protects the subs' donations and funds.

~Devil's Advocate~

What exactly are the dommes getting out of this other than maybe some free advertising for their [paid] website if they have one?

Why should anyone who is not a pro or findom take time away from our REAL relationships, communities, and responsibilities to supply wank fodder for someone's spank bank?

Why should a pro or findom donate time to this project when they could be spending that time on their own business ventures/websites?

How will the project weed out pros/findoms who only want to use it to shill for their personal sites/services?

What is the cyber sub supplying that we couldn't get more of or done better from organizing a fundraiser in our local communities?

We don't know these people and probably never will, so why should we even care about their kinks or whether or not they get off?

What protections would be in place so that neither the dominant nor the submissive have to give out any personal information or worry about stalkers/harassment?

LadyPact -> RE: The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 2:17:29 PM)

I have to admit, it's not something that I'd be terribly interested in. I pretty much do the charity thing through My local community. Donations for auctions, bought items at auctions, being auctioned off where the proceeds go to various organizations, charity functions, organized food drives through the community........ List goes on and on. None of which, including being auctioned off as a top was for somebody's wank fodder. "A good cause" just isn't quite enough for Me to care about some stranger's dick.

RumpusParable -> RE: The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 2:20:17 PM)

I really can't see a real benefit to me as a dom... I can just say "I'll do X sort of session for Y amount of time after you donate Z amount to this charity I like and send me the confirmation email as proof".... and thereby have control of what we've negotiated *and* specifically how much goes to what charity when I want it for the sake of sending that money specifically for my pleasure and preference.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds like the males verify they've put money into a charity and then essentially get lucky if/when a dom feels like doing something with them.

I can see that being fun for some folks, sure. I'm just not personally feeling it, were I on the male's side. But, for anything there are folks who would indeed enjoy it.

PeonForHer -> RE: The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 3:21:17 PM)

FR

I don't know . . . it's fuzzy in my head at the moment, but I could imagine, say, a domme (who's *much* less classy than any of those of my acquaintance, natch), telling a malesub (who's *much* less classy than myself, it goes without saying), that she'll furnish him with a knickered-butt-on-photocopier pic if he'll, say, fix the leaking tap in his elderly neighbour's bathroom. Or similar.

Am I going in the right direction, Akasha - or is this not at all what you're envisioning here?

NiceButMeanGirl -> RE: The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 4:06:44 PM)

lol, Peon. lol I don't do online so I can't imagine I'd care much about such and undertaking. It might be fun for some of the onliners though. Me, I do charity work, volunteer and donate to causes in real life.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: The femdom hive: Subs, you might get stung (11/7/2013 6:13:29 PM)

I think it's a great idea, A. But the hundreds of times I've gotten pay-for-online-play requests, I've told the querent to donate $25 to the cause of my choice (usually animal rescue organizations, food banks and shelters for women), show me the proof and then I would session him online.

The reality was not a single one followed through, so my guess is such a 'hive' would be of limited use in ratio to the time it would take the dommes to weed through even more cr*p.

I think it's a great marketing idea. Giving out free samples is a great way of drumming up business. It also has merit in that those who actually open their wallets and donate make them quite viable as customers... you know that they're willing to give to charity, the next step is getting them to identify you as that charity.

But.. I'm not in the business so I can't imagine having the slightest interest in a site like that.

Sorry, but I have no interest in online anything, and I'm not altruistic enough to pay a sub back with *my* time for his "donation"... which he's only doing to feed his kink need.

[8|] Right.

Your response does nothing at all to answer any of the questions I posed, so I'm not really sure what the point was, but thanks for your input.

My experience has been the same.

It sounds like a waste of time.

Ladies and gentlemen, the sad state of literacy in our society is a tragedy. Please support your local schools and encourage your legislators to increase funding for public education.
