Near impossible task, because look, I could ask you what exemplifies a relationship and the internet is not sufficient to contain the backgrounds to make a closing statement.

What exemplifies a wondrously beautiful painting?   Paint dont cover it, the frame dont cover it, the lighting dont cover it, the .......well, you get the idea.

What necessary and sufficient conditions is a typical example of a Dominant/Submissive relationship, or did you mean Dominant/Slave or .........

The English Language is wonderfully versatile, but there are things you can't do with it.  In fact most languages would not cover what you need.

You could write a treatise, larger than kinsey, larger than the encyclopedia brittanica, but you would not actually answer such a question.

Could the question be made more specific and answerable?

You could ask, and that interaction would be part of that, right?

Honesty, open communication, trust.

All the things that a guy who is cheating on you cannot do.

Ron is absolutely correct. My ideal relationship may not be yours, so there are no blanket examples.

It's a relationship with a dominant and a submissive in it. Your mileage may (and absolutely will) vary regarding what "dominant" and "submissive" mean.

Did you look at the thread about a typical day in a 24/7 d/s relationship? That gives you some examples of how people structure their days.

This is exactly how I'm feeling, especially now with him several states away for a few months.
Without him here, my motivation and drive has dropped. I feel lost, and I literally have found myself pacing around the house as if looking for something. I definitely do feel incomplete without him. He's the things that I am not and I'm missing that portion of me.

You have a D/s relationship when you and another human being both have an interest in such kinky subjects and are willing to discuss them.

Don't ya hate it when people get semantically literal? i.e. I have a "relationship" with my barber. I have a "relationship" with my girl. But, in no way are they the same thing.

Since there are so many flavors of D/s or other kinky interests the only think that exemplifies a D/s relationship is an interest in human behaviors outside of one sigma on the bell curve or behaviors.
