looking for ideas on how to represent myself in public and also assert that i am a submissive. i used to wear this under my shirt for years, but was looking to try something else. any ideas? what (signs) do you look for when you are out in public?

well, they should be .jpg, should be less than some size, and not only do you have to upload the pics, but you have to check the embed picture in post to the right of it. See if you have done that, use the edit button on that post quick before it disappears, and check it (you will not see the picture from your post.) then submit it.

i think i finally got it, thought it would be smaller, but oh well....that's me from today in that pic, but wanted to try something different

Problem is there really is no "symbol" like in the gay community.. Best to go to some community events where people will be open about their side.

I don't flag much anymore, but if I'm at a leather event, I will. I don't bother at BDSM events because most non leather folks don't know what the hanky code stands for and they have to ask, anyway. (Not to mention, most leather skirts don't have back pockets.)

I carry a purse that darn near screams "Dominant Woman." It's the foot portion of a stiletto boot with chains. There's plenty of triskelion jewelery out there. I've got a set of handcuff earrings. Leather flag bumper stickers. When I was ordering the new collar, one of the requirements that I had was a working lock/key for the back, and I'll be wearing the key.

Yes, it's much easier to go to a munch where you know the folks are kinky, but there are plenty of ways to spot kinky folks on the street.

ETA - Since the OP is looking to attract gay males, he's probably using the right avatar. I'd also advise looking into that hanky code.

my apologies for my avatar, but LP is correct; usually its required to "see" the merchandise, but i changed it anyhow because i don't want to offend anyone. thanks for the suggestions, i was thinking handcuff earrings as well, but never seen a male wearing them, similar to wearing a locket or lock and key around the neck, again usually worn by women. guess its the hanky code, but thats so darn confusing--knew there wasn't much out there for me, but it was worth a try--thanks again

There's a triskelion that is often used as a BDSM symbol, I've known people who have it as a tattoo, and there's a lot of jewellery with the symbol on too out there.

I don't. I am simply myself and I met men based on who they are as a person, not what role I wanted them to fulfill. That's how Master and I met. We liked each other as people, not dom or sub.

Well, heavy "dog" chains like the one you are wearing usually draw My attention out in public (because they trigger an urge to grab it and give it a firm YANK, LOL--But I resist). A Treskelon would certainly be an even stronger indicator. (My recommendation is if you "showing" in order to attract a Dominant, and are using the chain, don't put a padlock on it because they may interpret it as you are already Owned and might not bother with you)

If no one else is within earshot I'll flat out ASK a wearer if they are BDSM, submissive, or Fetishist. I find direct questions are most efficient of My time. If their eyes are blank and they don't seem to have a clue I simply smile politely and tell them, "Nevermind," before I walk away. Sometimes they'll grin knowingly when I ask and then I ask them other questions such as whether they've been Claimed yet, in all politeness to their Owner if they are, in which case My slant from there on will be toward getting a respectful Greeting passed on to Her/Him. If they haven't been Claimed I'll strike up a full conversation and give them My CollarMe info so they can look Me up and connect later. I'm not always seeking for Myself. I know a few other Dominants who are sometimes looking and it's also nice to network.

In your pic, is the Rat Dominating the cat ("Keep your head DOWN, worm!"), or is it a submissive giving the Cat a luxurious ear massage?

(sometimes it's hard to tell who's the Dominant)
