Gas will not drop significantly. No matter what. Drilling is open, twice what W had. Every 12 minutes long trains from Williston full of oil sands come thru Perham, MN on their way to the refinery. We are a net exporter of petroleum products, and our exports are climbing.

So, the gas companies are lowering prices to sell it off to make way for "winter" gas. Lowering prices is, generally, a great way to sell more gas. Yes, our consumption is down (generally speaking) but the bigger effect is US oil production is way up desi, reducing our dependence on foreign oil. Besides reducing number of barrels of imports, american crude is at a discount due to lower transport costs.

Its called delivering a product. Delivering oil by train is worse (regarding environmental impact) than delivering by pipeline. And still the oil comes.

If you mean clathrates (and particularly methane clathrates) politicians and environmentalists are not in the way, they so don't give a fiddlers fuck. And I bet that most of them have never heard of them (both groups). Research has suggested that they are not in economically viable concentrations to remove and use, that's all.

When it takes the Wall Street tour, if they speculate the price is going down, it probably has something to do with increased supply, where ever its coming from.

You have a very bad memory, not only did he not commit perjury which is what he went after Clinton over but he had no chance to lie about the affair, as soon as it came out he resigned his office. In other words for a moral but not legal offense he exacted the penalty upon himself he was asking for Clinton to pay for committing a felony. And what does this have to do with the price of gas?

FR, Gas edged up here, from an average (not scientifically polled) of $2.95 yesterday to an average (extremely similar methodology) of $3.25 today. I remember when gas would rise every Wednesday. Many people would get gas on Tuesday evenings to save the 5-10 cents/gallon. Gas would drop again, on Sunday, or so. It was like clockwork. Now, the vacillations are ridiculous. Rising a quarter/gallon (or more) overnight? Have a tough time even thinking it's a free market of any sort.

The company would drop the price 5 cents every Friday "so people would get in the habit of buying there" The result. I got yelled at on Friday cause if we could sell for that today we could have sold for that yesterday. I got yelled at on Monday because we raised the price every Monday and never dropped it.

At a station I where I worked in Al had a guy yell about 1.90 gas while not batting an eye over his 8.00 a gallon coffee

I tend bar part time. I love it when someone is griping about the price of gas while dropping $25 to $30 over the bar after work..It happens a lot.
