Quite. It's only happened to two presidents; Andrew Johnson and William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.

In fact, I think the total number of all impeachments in this country is under 50 (I could be wrong but I don't think so) and the only people to actually be convicted have been federal judges.

Unfortunately, PPLs are great at revisionist history. If they keep saying "Clinton wasn't impeached" enough times, they believe it will go away.

It won't. Also, unfortunate is that the PPLs won't go away no matter how many times we wish they would.

The fact that the only two presidents to ever be impeached have been Dimocrats irks them.

You're right. It seems the republican was the one that knew when to get out, while the gettin' was good.

Until the day he died, he collected retirement pay and "Hail To the Chief" was played, every time he walked into a room.

That he would have been convicted is a pretty good bet but the special prosecutor said that he didn't think it was a foregone conclusion.

None of this changes the fact that Holder has abused his authority and ignored his constitutionally required duties. He's a poor excuse of an AG and should never have made it past his first year.

It's good to have control of both houses and the executive branch.

I realize you have a problem with English. So I am providing the definition of impeach:

"b. To charge (a public official) with improper conduct in office before a proper tribunal."

Again. Clinton was impeached. He was also found not guilty. It stems from French. empecher - to bring charges against.


Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5
The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
Article 1, Section 3, Clauses 6 and 7
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried the Chief Justice shall preside; And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
Judgement in Cases of Impreachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgement and Punishment, according to Law.
Article 2, Section 4
The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

and guess who is the proper tribunal. (that is what the senate is).

so it is like a dogshit bill, it ain't impeachment till it is tried and advised and consented.  Constitution and all that.  The other shit is mincing words and does not have the necessary and sufficient conditions for the legal definition of impeachment, that is why Holder, as Clinton did, will save up for a week, take a shit, and wipe his ass with all those nutsacker names.

NO! The bill of Impeachment means he was impeached. No different, really, from being ticketed for speeding. You were ticketed; the officer believing having cause. Clinton was Impeached; the House believing having cause. Guilt, though, is another matter. If you're found not guilty as to speeding, does that also mean you were not ticketed?

Get over it, MN. It's not really that big a deal except, evidently, to liberals.

It's the judgment on conviction that this is about. Not whether Impeachment happened.
