I do have a question for all those latex enthuesist out here in this great kinky world. In regards to painting the body of my sub, and I do mean the whole thing, save for an area around the eyes, nose, and mouth, where else should I leave uncovered so the skin can breathe? I have heard a small patch on the lower back, but then it doesn;t like quite right.

Thank you

Great food is like great kink, the more you have the more you want

If there is an opening iit should be left open not just for your enjoyment.....So that they can also enjoy your attentions HE!HE!HE!HE! And any body hair will be an added pleasure for you both as it will be a million little pin pricks of pain if you really take your time taking it off.............

skin doesn't need breathing room per se...it is a question of comfort.
Provided you have respiration sorted, a gap in the paint might allow you to remove the latex quicker if you needed to.

Agreed Jacques........

Way to many people watched Goldfinger with the spray paint thing and it became a urban myth. Especially, since Sean Connery was so convincing as 007.

What I don't like about latex is the shit stinks, horridly.

People should remember that Ian Fleming really wasn't all that hot on research. After all, at the end of "Diamonds" he watches a helicopter with a shipment of diamonds burn and comments that the diamonds will be unharmed because "diamonds are forever." In reality, diamonds are another form of coal and burn quite nicely.

I thought the reason we used liquid latex was because it did allow the skin to breath. That's always been my understanding.

Incidentally, I just recieved an email from JT's Stockroom (stockroom.com) and he's got pints and quarts of Liquid Latex (three colors only, and I didn't see the colors, sorry) on sale. You might want to check it out, as I've found liquid latex fairly pricey.

I did it once at a workshop and it wasn't my thing. It's so pretty and can be fun, I sort of wish I'd enjoyed it more.

All the best,
Lily

I love liquid latex, although we rarely play with it. (Still have two pints in the toybox from two years ago.) I don't mean to take this thread on a different route, but does anyone else have a reaction to the amonia in it? It burns and leaves behind a lot of redness, although petroleum jelly/baby oil helps some.

best regards,
fate

According to the maker, the ammonia is there to preserve the compound. They suggest leaving the container open for a few minutes to allow it to dissipate. If you do that and still have a redness problem, you may be developing a latex allergy

Excellent point John.

I just wanted to add that if you do have a latex allergy, or not sure - a good pointer would be your allergy reactions to banana, avocado, passion fruit, chestnut, kiwi fruit, melon, tomato, and celery. Also people with asthma and spina bifida or had/have urogenital/kidney abnormalities should avoid latex, or at least keep an eye out for problems.

Peace and Love

John, we thought of that, but I don't seem to have any trouble with any other type of latex...i.e. latex gloves, latex balloons, etc. I really thought it was the ammonia and not the latex.

best regards,
fate
