ORIGINAL: jlf1961 Lets address the theory that the assassination was part of a conspiracy, planned and carried out by an intelligence agency. First you have the shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, and have got to have him in place before the event. Oswald got his job at the depository in October, the trip to Dallas was planned in June of 1963, after then governor Connolly had stalled the idea of the trip since taking office as governor. However, the motorcade route was not finalized then, so Oswald could have been out of place as an assassin if the route had been different from Love Field. This means you would have to have other snipers along all the possible routes through down town Dallas. Dealey Plaza is the only setting perfect for an assassination attempt. This means you have to have someone high enough in the Kennedy entourage to make sure that was the route taken. Anyone see a problem with this? I don't. There's a reason that POS, Johnson, wasn't riding in the president's car. The ultimate reason that Kennedy was killed was because he didn't do what (yester-year's version of ...) the Joint Chiefs wanted when a Russian ship strayed across barricade lines for all of 17 minutes. Johnson was a scummy fuck that saw an opportunity.
