JFK with certain right wing conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones?

Alright, generally speaking, he was more conservative in his beliefs than most democrats of the time. However, he was a liberal, he pushed the equal rights agenda, and generally pissed off republicans.

Yet Alex Jones is screaming about a cover up, a conspiracy that resulted in JFK's assassination.

It's a bit more complicated than Ron suggests, but that's the gist of it, jlf.
Bullshit conspiracy theories are compensatory fantasies for inadequete wankers. Their life isn't a heap of shit because of anything they've done themself, it's because the conspiracy is picking on them. Hence, nothing is their fault. Jones, and other hysterical twats in the media bend over backwards to reassure these fuckwits that it's all the conspiracy's fault, not theirs.
If there were less arsey tosspots about refusing to accept responsibility for anything in either their lives or the world as a whole, then there'd be no audience for Alex Jones' arsedribble. Sadly, there's one so it follows inevitably that there's the other as well.

Lets address the theory that the assassination was part of a conspiracy, planned and carried out by an intelligence agency.

First you have the shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, and have got to have him in place before the event. Oswald got his job at the depository in October, the trip to Dallas was planned in June of 1963, after then governor Connolly had stalled the idea of the trip since taking office as governor.

However, the motorcade route was not finalized then, so Oswald could have been out of place as an assassin if the route had been different from Love Field. This means you would have to have other snipers along all the possible routes through down town Dallas. Dealey Plaza is the only setting perfect for an assassination attempt.

This means you have to have someone high enough in the Kennedy entourage to make sure that was the route taken.

Anyone see a problem with this?

I don't. There's a reason that POS, Johnson, wasn't riding in the president's car.

The ultimate reason that Kennedy was killed was because he didn't do what (yester-year's version of ...) the Joint Chiefs wanted when a Russian ship strayed across barricade lines for all of 17 minutes.

Johnson was a scummy fuck that saw an opportunity.

Yet in all of the planet, there was only one man on earth who didn't recall where he was when JFK was shot, turned out he was in Dallas with the Hunt brothers.

Tricky Dicky

Tricky Dicky

And Dick was a lot closer buddies with the CIA than LBJ was.

Maybe it's that Jones is a shithead and a kook, who never met any conspiracy theory he didn't like?

EdBowie -> RE: What is the appeal of... (11/23/2013 9:21:46 AM)

The appeal is that if you can get someone to fall for a conspiracy theory then you know you have a sucker to take advantage of with other schemes.

MercTech -> RE: What is the appeal of... (11/23/2013 9:50:14 AM)

Sigh, and the mentality of the times. How would you sell the assassination of JFK as a good thing?

1> Take one mixed up veteran with PTSD.

2> Remind him of his oath to defend the constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.

3> Convince him that JFK, since he is Catholic, is actually working secretly for the Pope and is part of a conspiracy to bring the whole country under the control of the Catholic Church. (Yes, there was a fringe that actually believed that all Catholics were papist subversives)

I do know that the fellow that killed Oswald had organized crime connections.
The ability for a rifle to do the multiple impacts and remain pristine enough for matching to the rifle used is so statistically unlikely as to be laughable.

Finally, we will never know for sure by whom all and why JFK was killed.
And, does it matter?
