they gooped her eys to protect them an daddy said aww she's weepy eyed an i said yeah she is mourning the loss of her two nipples. i was sad to hear the dr cut them out, but i kinda looked at the dr grinned and said well it sure will make her unique.

I am worried shes struggling to rally this morning. Her drains are leaking blood, shes not as warm as she should be, have a call in to her vets they open in a bit.

Glad she is home. Best wishes.

Like millions of other pet owners who love their pets, I hope your dog is doing well. I have to wonder though, just how much all of this is costing, and how you intend on paying these additional vet bills. I do wish you well, but for you to take on additional debt for your pet might not be the best thing to do.

You might consider feeding your dog small amounts of marijuana if she is in pain and/or isn't eating. Lots of stories about how much this helps dogs with cancer. I will definitely use it for mine if they ever need it. Ignore the troll a few posts back; her desperation for attention isn't worth a second of your time. Best wishes for your dog's recovery.

Marijuana is illegal in ca, unless you have a drs order to take it. They already prescribed pain meds, but it's something to ponder.

For crissake, possession of less than an ounce of weed in CA is an infraction, approximately the same as a speeding ticket. Some perspective is needed here.

Shes cold a lot lately, her core temps fine, but the rest of her is cold. I make sure she should be warm nuff. Wonder why her fur, and ears, and nose and mouth are cold. I think her body might just be trying to recouperate, n it takes a lot of energy?

Sometimes if they are anemic that can happen...

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: She is home, they said she did absolutely fine. (12/4/2013 2:05:19 PM)

any other surgery, which yeah sure it's only been once, she has not been so cold all the time. i am asking the dr tomorow when she gets her drain out. Tuesday a vet tech looked her over an took her temp, that's how i know it's normal, but i am concerned about how cold she is.

Go ahead and bundle her up. callie just needs to warm up and with my dogs over the years, we spared a few towels or blankets (we had German Shepards to Pekingese to beagles and a Rott/Akita mix). This will make her feel better.

She actually sleeps with us under our blankets. and when we were trying to keep her out of the bed for fear of hurting her drain, yup she laid under 2 of our blankets and then daddy went and got our space heater back from our friend who i loaned it to. So she had that in addition.

i'm glad to hear things went well for her, and that she will soon be having her drains out.

Thank you. And me too. I am always so afraid she will hurt her drain. Once it's out I can breath a wee bit easier. Still have to be careful of her of course, but less chance SHE can accidentally hurt herself with one careless moment n her drain.

She is so bored with out the ability to come and go when she pleases, to do what ever strikes her fancy.
