As I am sure many of you know (how could you not) a major storm system has been making its way across the U.S. causing problems for many. So far, my area has not been hit too hard (we just caught the edge of the system) I hope everyone in the path of the storm has been able to cope. In the mean time I'm posting three pictures that I took just twenty minutes ago outside the front door of my office... as a reminder that, despite its harshness and tribulations, winter possesses its own, unique, beauty. By the way, although you can't see it (because it is drained for the winter) that's the Erie Canal on the other side of that fence.
