Going shopping sounds like fun....

Rampant consumerism?

Desperation due to the recession?

I bet it would have been calmer if all the shoppers were armed though.

First of all, get it right. In America, it's called "cowboy consumerism".

Secondly, it would be much worse if Al Gore hadn't invented the internet.

This is actually pro-blacks, when you look at it. In this case, accounting is racist against Native Americans or the Soviets. It's dubbed "Black Friday" because it's typically when retailers move from being in the red (unprofitable) to the black (profitable) in the ledger books. So, it's desirable to be black.

I guess retailers haven't heard the saying, "once you go black, you never go back," else they'd not need "Black Friday."

Naw, that story was put out by the retailers because they did not like the negative press the term "Black Friday" created.

It's utter insanity. I don't know what comes over people.

If people go this nutty over TV sets on sale, I only shudder to think what would happen if there were actual shortages of TV sets (or gas or food).

Ya know. . . I really do not understand the excitement. After two and a half years (I was preggers then), I am still trying to decide if I want to put a TV in my bedroom. At this point I have actually saved enough for a nice one with a built in DVD player. I am still just unsure if that is something that I want to do. I think that I would go for it if I was pregnant again. Otherwise I am just not sure that TVs belong in the bedroom. *sigh* You all see the problem.
