David92506 -> DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! (11/30/2013 11:02:18 PM)

Please read: Scam #9 - Requests for "tribute"

There are so many threads about FinDommes and/or ProDommes requesting money before meeting. I'm not talking about a Pro-Domme saying she charges for a session. I'm talking about those people who ask you to deposit money into their paypal account before chatting. Just like the Scams say under the WARNING section.

In my perspective, if CM enforced that WARNING by deleting any profile that requests money in advanced CM would be a better place. I've reported people to CM who request money them but their profile is still up and running.

I guess why I feel upset is because these people violate the WARNINGS with impunity. I also realize that many people disagree with the WARNING.

What do you think? Should anyone who requests money before chatting be deleted? Would it make CM a better place?

Why do you care so much? You're not a child. Don't pay money to people. Move along to those who aren't scamming anyone. It's that simple.

Since I don't send money to people, it wouldn't really change CM for me in the slightest. But if you want to be the policeman of the Internet, and try to protect idiots from losing their money, good luck with your crusade.

David92506 -> RE: DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! (11/30/2013 11:32:09 PM)

I think collarme would be a better place if all those crooks and thieves were deleted.

LadyPact -> RE: DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! (11/30/2013 11:38:01 PM)

As long as an activity doesn't cross lines such as being illegal, a person can ask (that's a really important word there) another to do anything they want. Right now, I could ask you to stand on your head. That means that I don't have any power according to this site to MAKE you do it. I could ask. You could either say yes or say no. Even though you probably know it would be stupid to drop everything you are doing to carry out My wish, the site doesn't have any responsibility if you decide to do something dumb or not.

I've always considered that "don't send......." warning as a bit of extra padding to cover the site's legal tail. If you go and blow thousands of dollars on fin kink, the site can't be held liable because they told you not to do it. In this litigious society, if I owned this site, the first thing I'd be doing are CYA moves that clearly spell out that I'm not responsible for whatever it is that you get up to because of the decisions you've chosen to make.

On a side note, I don't really know why you care. I could have sworn that I read a post of yours not too long ago that you were moving in with the hot, young Domme of your dreams. If you have that happiness, does it really concern you what others do?

crazyml -> RE: DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! (11/30/2013 11:41:55 PM)

I think you're confused.

The "warning" is for the people that are gullible enough to send money to complete strangers, the warning isn't for the people that ask for the money.

So your statement "people violate these warnings with impunity" is a little bit of a nonsense. Since the people that ignore the warning, frequently face consequences - in that they lose their money.

Now... sure there are plenty of scammers, but CM is a free site. So rather than employing an army of profile vetters they post warnings all over the place, and provide an automatic reporting process.

To the first part of this.... fuck me... you get upset easily.

To the second part, I'm not sure that many people disagree with the warning, I mean why the fuck would anyone disagree with that warning?

I think we would all be better off if CM removed all the stupid people who need such warnings spelled out for them in BIG RED LETTERS.

When I cross the road I know I need to stop, look and listen before I step out.

When I eat my dinner I know I need to make sure food is properly cooked before I put it in my mouth.

When I go on the internet I know I need to keep my hard-earned money in my wallet and not send it to a random stranger.

What I don't need is a white knight to protect me from the bleedin' obvious.

What would make CM a better place probably varies from person to person. I'd really like married cheaters to get off the site to make it a better place for me, and I would't mind banning anyone who likes to be shit on. Oh, and the couples that come here for a "third" that have been looking for 7.269 hours and are shocked and appalled that some woman in their area does not want to get naked with them….NOW.

Do you shop at stores that only carry goods that you might be interested in? Why would you assume that everyone else out there wants the same type of thing that you want in your adult relationships? You are assuming that no one wants the fin ducks service, there are men out there that do want to give their money to someone.

The CM warning is more for people who can't think things through past their boner to realize that there may not be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or in their case an airbrushed beauty in leather waiting to service their sexual fantasies.

So that submissive lady that looks exactly like Nikki Minaj isn't going to get back to me? Damn the luck!

CM DOES delete those profiles.

The software isn't sophisticated enough to screen out those profiles automatically, so CM relies upon users reporting the profiles. CM does not want to have pissed-off people getting profiles deleted because they got turned down when propositioned, etc., so does not delete profiles upon a single report. It requires multiple reports. So when you make your single report, nothing happens right away.

The world would be a better place of all the crooks and thieves were 'deleted.' Are you offering yourself up for the job? Do you think you are qualified to judge?

In theory I agree with you, the place has far too many scammers and wannabe pros. Please feel free to report them if they violate TOS.

needlesandpins -> RE: DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON! (12/1/2013 5:08:20 AM)

In every walk of life, wherever there is a way to get easy money from people there will be someone willing to take advantage of it. men with a hard on are probably one of the easiest targets after the elderly.....and even then i'm being generous. what amazes me more is that cm has its lovely big red warning, and yet we still get some idiot that ignored it, sent the money to fat, hairy bob-in-the-basement, but comes in here to complain because he lost his hard-on, and he didn't get to cum on 'lil ms fantastic tits. though in fairness fat hair bob has a pretty decent cleavage when he shaves his chest, and wares a push up bra.

never pay for something that you can get for free. however, when it comes to sex some people are turned on by paying for it. they always have been. get over it.

"I also realize that many people disagree with the WARNING." . . .
- No they don't.

"What do you think?" . . .
- A fool and his money are soon parted.

"Should anyone who requests money before chatting be deleted?" . . .
- I believe CM management does not have the time, the staff or resources to clean up that aspect of the profiles. At one time they tried to keep naked photos out of the profiles . . . what daunting task that was. Imagine tying to sort through 277 new member per hour? (200,000 new/mo) Otherwise they would enforce that part of the TOS with the same vigor they do the rest of it.

"Would it make CM a better place?" . . .
- Nope. The same good people and content would be here. No minors are allowed to join the site so it is not CM's job to protect your cock or your wallet. If you are foolish enough to stick either of them where they don't belong, it is on you.

I think by the time you are old enough to be on this site you should have enough common sense to know you shouldn't send cash to random strangers online. But from reading many threads from people who gotten taken it is obvious that some people just don't get it. Now I think it is sad that CM has to put that warning there but it is what it is.

As to your suggestion, I like the idea that they ask upfront for the money before we chat. That lets me know they are not worth wasting my time on.
