I am going to have to side with Heretic on this, as the news said, speed was a factor in the crash. The black and white photo is the crash scene where James Dean died, in a Porsche spider, and the color photos are the Walker crash scene. Thanks to the wonderful Germans, the Porsche does not usually crumple in a crash at a normal rate of speed. You can see examples here. Add to that the fact that they still have not been able to identify the remains, the families are gathering dental records. Yes, Paul Walker was a good actor, a philanthropist, a sportsman and raced cars. He was one of the few Hollywood crowd that did not let fame go to his head. While he was not driving, it is clear that the driver was exceeding the speed limit. Yes there is a lesson here, like Heretic said, "Dont drive like the streets are your personal race track." If you look up Rye Canyon Loop, Santa Clarita, CA on google earth, it is a fairly benign looking road, except for two sharp turns at each end. I am waiting for the report, but I suspect that the driver tried to take one of those turns at speed and lost it.
