I watched a couple of history based movies yesterday, Zulu and Zulu dawn.

Zulu Dawn deals with the Battle of Isandlwana, where the 3rd column of the 24th foot of the Royal Army was wiped out by an overwhelming force of Zulu warriors. Basically the British version of Little Bighorn.

However, Zulu makes a bigger impression. Dealing with the Siege at Roarke's Drift, where 150 British and colonial troops held off attacks by 3 to 4 thousand Zulu warriors.

My point is that the history and marked incidents of bravery by her majesty's troops have to be admired. Take the Birkenhead drill for example. Personally I would not have tried to get in a life boat, but I sure as hell would be trying to find something that floats to hold on to.

Anyway, hats off to the Royal Army.

Maybe you should look to the battles of Kings Mountain and New Orleans and compare Brit troops to Tennesseans.
