This whole kid thing is awesome.......?
Thankfully, I didn't have to change any diapers...I found out one day at my desk....but I was thrilled....he was 31.
I wasn't sure how I was going to say "Hello". Would I hug him? Shake his hand ("Hey....how ya doin'?"). Be awkward?
There's more to this but, the short version is, I saw him...I'd arrived early, I was amazingly calm (we'd spoken by email....his choice....for 6+ weeks), surprisingly calm...."today" (then) was the day.
There he was....every bit of "WTF do I do????" left me....I was on my own. He was gorgeous. More so than any man I've ever met....and...I can honestly tell you, if he'd looked like a 1942 Buick that had just been wrapped around an oak tree...he'd have looked just as beautiful.
To me anyway.
I've never seen anything more fabulous. Ever.
Still.
I hugged him, and it felt so good. I pushed him away and asked him to turn around...he had all of his hair (motherfucker), I brushed it for a second, and I explained to him that "hair skips a generation....chill", but "brains and good looks don't....and always remember.....you got both from me"....
(Which, most people know...and....of course, would presume).
And then we had dinner....and it was awesome :)
(It still is, 4 years later).
