If they both run, the Democratic Primaries should be really exciting in 2016. I'm hoping a few more really intelligent people will throw their hat in the ring as well.

The man is allowed his opinions and run for President if he so chooses. Unlike most of the Republican contenders for the White House, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Sanders actually DO THEIR JOBS. That's right, the 'Do Nothing' Republicans are set to have the least productive session of Congress is over fifty years! Their problem is that they do not know how to do their actual day job. When passing bills, those documents must have a decent chance of passing through the OTHER chamber of Congress. Forty-three bills to defund the Affordable Care Act are not 'successful' bills that passed through Congress. Those are defined as 'failures', like much of the other bills Republicans have pushed for political points.
What I find amusing are the numerous conservatives and libertarians who bitch about bad government; yet keep electing the Republicans and Tea Party into office that fail time and again to do their jobs. Imagine if those people held the people they vote into public office to twice the level of accountability and responsibility with power as they slam the President and Democrats in Congress. This nation would have good government almost over night!
Liberals, unlike conservatives, enjoy a good debate on sophisticated and complex subject matter. Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Clinton are very intelligent and educated individuals. They'll be joined by other Democrats who are the same way. I'm sure each of them will present ideas that help America grow as a nation, while the Republicans fuck around trying to convince the 'lowest information voter' that they are more 'conservative' than all others. The government gets shutdown, the 2016 President is pretty much in the bag for Democrats. Not to mention quite a few new seats in Congress in BOTH chambers.
