For the sake of anymonity if so wished. I've decided to make this a poll. Just out of curiosity. I have seen many threads about self harm and self inflicting, as a means of coping with issues, or psychological trama. I have not seen this point made yet. I self inflict pain, usually when I can't get pain from someone else, for the sake of enjoying pain. I was wondering, how many of you out there have self inflicted for pain's sake to slake the thirst of the masochist inside. So, do you, or have you in the past, self inflicted because you enjoy and needed that pain at that point and time?

Good Morning, Just woke and came to look at the message boards for a few minutes before I get ready to go to a BB-que with friends. Nice to see someone here does this too. I spank myself. I use what is actually a foot file for this. It is small, lightweight and looks harmless. I keep it in the shower where I would keep it for it's regular purpose because I find it gives a rather nice sting on a wet ass as opposed to a dry one [8D] Oh this was done like this for anonymity purposes, oh well [:D] ~shy -------------------------------------------------- May all who tread here find what they seek!

I've never done this either. Although I am coming to the realization that I do enjoy pain, it's more of a sexual thing for me. That is to say, I enjoy the sensation, not the pain itself.

But putting it here looks from the general page, that it is off topic, and not serious, which is far from the case. It's just been seeming as of late, everyone who has self inflicted pain have had issues in the past of using self harm as a coping mechanism, and that it isn't done for masochism's sake. Nice to see I'm not the only sadomasochist or masochist that does this.

i think i replied to a post just like this not too long ago. since it's come up again i'll post my personal preferance for those who care to read it, i have been self inflicting pian since i was a young child. it became of a sexual nature as i grew into my teen years. by my late teen i realized i enjoyed it when others inflicted pain on me prior and durring sex. as time went on and my needs and experience grew i tried different things with different dominants. Now to give myself the relief from pain when i need to i prefer needle play. i get the endorphine rush quickly and it is easy to acomplish. all necessary precautions are taken while everything is sanitary and disposable. when i first began i would use a 25g.needle one in each nipple. now i like to use 14g. needle up to 4 of them in each nipple. that will usually do the trick for me. Although I'm a pain pig, self inflicted pain does absolutely nothing for me. I've always wimped out when I tried it.

Slipstreme, I enjoy pain for the sake of pain and for the beauty and artistry I can create with my needles, knife work, wax, etc. A lot of the self-inflicted stuff is because I'm trying out something new before using it on someone else, but aside from that.. I just enjoy it. I like piercing. I like the way it feels, the way it looks. I like to paint myself with hot wax. I like doing skin carvings.. again, because of how it feels and how it looks. I don't get to do that so much anymore because Himself thinks I go to deep sometimes and doesn't want me to carry scars. I especially like piercing and adding weights.. they hmm.. not sure I can describe it, but after you wear them, it's as if the body protests their removal. He doesn't like me doing that as much anymore either. Probably because of some other medical issues and I don't heal as fast as I probably should and there's this issue he has with someone else marking his property.. even if it's me. ::chuckles:: There are special occasions though where he'll allow me to self-inflict if I want .. BDSM birthdays, anniversaries.. stuff like that and I appreciate those immensely. Celeste

The needle play and knife play (hate needles, always have, but not adverse to having them used on me. Been becoming insanely interested in knives. The urge is there, to cut, play with and watch the blood, but something just won't let me do it.) I also tend to self inflict to make sure that I can do it to others when trying something new, or to make sure the items I decided were to be used for a mindfuck really only go so far, before something actually happens on my slave.

I mainly just slip the ruler to my bottom. I have also done some interesting things with a nail file and words here and there. The need for the pain is actually what started with my peircings. I just happen to want a third hole in my ear one day, and then wham I was hooked. The adrenillin, the enorphins, the rush of it all. I almost couldnt get enough. I walked around for hours with my head in the clouds just from have an ear ring shoot through my flesh. After that I was hooked. love and light Lee

Unfortunately, i'm not brave enough to inflict pain upon myself for the sake of feeling pain; despite my being a complete pain slut. I have, in the past, spanked myself, but it really didn't do anything for me. I prefer to have someone else do it for me.
