Oscar winner Joan Fontaine dies at 96

Rip Joan, you were one of the greats.

Alright, granted, unless you are into classic movies, you may not know who this was, but do yourself a favor, find a couple of her movies and sit back and enjoy.

She was truly lovely,.. It's sad to see all of the wonderful actors from that era passing away.....

Yes, I do remember Joan very well. She was a good one and I've missed her for years already.

The Chicago Tribune had a well written obituary about Joan Fontaine yesterday, noting that Olivia De Havilland (Scarlet O'Hara in "Gone With The Wind") was her sister and how both fought like a lion and tiger for recognition in Hollywood.
Olivia won two Oscars to Joan's one, but Joan's performance opposite Cary Grant in "Suspicion" was seen as the best of all their three Oscar winning roles.
